No no no, BoTW didn't does one single thig better than AAA games like HZD and The Witcher 3. BoTW isn't a bad game but isn't awesome either.

Graphics: Of course HZD it really stand out as one best graphically advanced game on the whole generation and on PS4. While Zelda is not even the on top 10 graphically nor on Wii U or Switch it just cel shaded which is art more than graphics

The longevity of this is a given not even opinion at all. Half way is the weak point of this game it gets repetitive for a reason in the plot, but that doesn't really excuse it. It is JRPG repetitive rhythm is a common. But when you reach 3/4 part of the game, you just can't get enough of it.
Funny, people of MT and Battle Royal have exact set of mind. "Ohhh we are ok to buy cosmetics and in game currencies" "what is the harm??" And exactly what people said about DLCs back then. Wrong practices encourage to lower efforts and lower quality which ultimately lead to produce really dull games.
