$99 would buy you a 320 GB HDD in a notebook PC or a PS3. Im sure you could get 500GB + for less then 100 big 1's in a desktop pc too. I want to upgrade my 20GB 360's HDD but I would rather spend $99 on games.
IMO, MS is trying to rob folks blind after already selling faulty hardware, and charging you/us to play your games online... and they are doing this in broad daylight.....
Its been in beta form for a very long time. They are just going to be letting much more people in for open beta. Which is like the last phase before public release which is like server stress testing I would assume. So they can make sure everything works right when you have alot more people on at once.
Its mitigation. To allow 12 million users to bombard the servers at once would not be a good idea. So they seem to allow more beta testers as time goes on in phases.

Im a taken man though so I felt bad avoiding such open advances.
I consider my 60 GB PS3 purchase my best gaming investment this gen so far. I payed around $800 total for the bundle That was near launch time.
So $399 @ this time is an appropriate price point in my mind. My PS3 has never broke down on me. I can't say that for other consoles I purchased this gen.
My 360 I bought around its launch the bundle was around $600. It was replaced 2x. One time it cost me $99. XBL has costed me $8 a month (subscribed w/credit card) since...
It was probably just my pc going slow @ the time due to doing to many things at once.

I played R2 Beta with my Lady too 2 funny she played soldier and I played as medic too. She used to love to toast me with the RFoM Flamethrower lol. Most of the time back then she had trouble controlling a fps and was always running around looking at the ground lmao. She has an easier time with the controls now days she liked R2 too.
Good luck finding time to enjoy every game. Its not a bad problem to have.

I would buy such a game. Especialy if its characters rivaled Onechanbara's. Capcom should be taking notes.
I'm not very good at wipeoutHD lol. Have not played it online yet. I do not doubt you. I will admit I have trouble holding my own against the AI.
Ive had 1 PS3 never had an issue... 360 had to be replaced twice before I got one that did not scratch discs. consequently I buy very few games for it due to not wanting to invest to much into something that might break again.
I am not going to upgrade my 360's HDD for outrageous prices when its been sent in a coffin 2x already. My 20 GB 360 has been full for awhile now. My 60 GB PS3 is getting pretty full too lately I will upgrade to 320 GB one of these days.
