I agree that this could be a real comeback for Sonic, and for SEGA.
But there's no way he'll be in Mario Galaxy 2.
As long as it's no more than Knuckles or Tails. I really liked having Knuckles in the Sonic 3 & Knuckles lock-on.
Though the fact that it may be talking about the platforms the game will be on makes it seem like it won't have multiple characters.
Who here trusts the flash code? Anyone else excited about this game?
Should also mention that Suda51 actually artistically puts his games together to actually have merit. This person just isn't seeing that.
Once you recognize that all the pieces of the first game (and the second, really) come together as a commentary on the western gamer, for example, it's hard not to have an appreciation for the game.
He's just hating on whatever he's seeing, which isn't an accurate judgment of the game at all.
...Which goes to show how...
I wish it wasn't a third party controller, otherwise $15 sounds like a steal for something so close to being a SNES/Genesis controller. I'm just not sure the quality is up to par.
I think we agree completely too.
To steer it back to the topic, aren't you kind of afraid of there being "more story" when the main developer here is Team Ninja? I can't help but think they craft some of the worst stories in gaming today, they're all about action.
Looking at it that way, I can't help but want to keep Samus silent and all, and keep the desolate, lonely feeling of the world around her.
Of all the Nintendo properties coming out t...
I remember the Japanese Metroid site once said something about "another story" coming about the space pirates. Is this the game? Is this having to do with the origins of the space pirates or anything?
I'm confusing myself here, I just want to understand how this will fit into the rest of the series. Any thoughts?
First off, I actually did read your entire post, so no tl;dr here! :P
I actually AM a Journalism Major, and I constantly do have problems with stories and writing in games, but it isn't in the way you think.
I actually have a problem with how stories are delivered in games. I think Nintendo has already proven that the Metroid series CAN have a good story, they presented a dead civilization pretty well in the first Metroid Prime. The approach wasn't to make Samus ta...
It's unfortunate that they're choosing to blame the Wii when they are handling one of Nintendo's top first party properties in Metroid now. I'd like to think that it will be a fantastic game and everyone will buy it.
...Everyone except for folks that choose to dislike the console for no real reason, thinking that real "gamers" have to be selective of their systems. Thanks for ruining the fun!
The key is the healthy eating. A lot of the "Wii Fit doesn't work" press that's happened since its release doesn't seem to account for the fact that Wii Fit works in conjunction with keeping a healthy diet.
From the sound of it, they are focusing pretty heavily on making it a thorough experience, the UI should be nice to it.
True. I still think that even with massive success, it would be smart of them to jump ahead on their next home console. Otherwise they could risk falling behind in a really big way.
I mean they aren't struggling, but the Wii is already outdated hardware. Their best bet is announcing something big before Natal releases.
It could be possible, since they have so many big first-party titles coming out this year.
That feature is over-inflated to me. When do you actually make use of having multiple people in a room talking to and/or hearing multiple people in other rooms? If anything, based on how I've experienced that (hearing people through your TV) on Xbox Live, it's just awkward. Not so much fun.
Plus, the quality is TERRIBLE. As much as Nintendo tried, getting the balance right in muffling out the sound of your TV and hearing the person on the other end only resulted in a really l...
The microphone really shouldn't have costed that much to begin with. Of all the Nintendo peripherals, Wii Speak probably irks me the most. What a terrible solution for voice chat.
Of course. Four words, two examples:
Wii Fit
Wii Play
Yes, they do, but I don't think Nintendo cares that much.
See, I think their image in the US is much different than the image they maintain in Japan. They seem to keep a much more "clean" image in the US, which generally (as far as I understand) is a lot more sensitive to gory, mature games.
Let alone the fact that this is a Nintendo-published title.
Idea: could Retro Studios be working on a sequel/next game in the series for Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem?
Like I said, though, a mature game in Japan is one thing. Worldwide is another. Look at what happened with Fatal Frame IV.
First red for New Super Mario Bros. Wii, now black. What next? BLUE? Nah, sounds too crazy, even for Nintendo.
...Right?
On a serious note, I highly doubt they'll do this for North America. They take risks like this for Japan.
I doubt it will be $15. Although it will be 480p on the Wii, I'm betting they'll keep it at $10.
Then, if they make 5 episodes or so, then they could release it as a full retail game later on for $50. I could see SEGA doing that.
