The ID@Xbox program is kind of a joke. I got into it, but they keep telling me they don't have enough SDK's to give out, so basically I can't test or publish any games.
Their idea of making every Xbox One an SDK still makes the most sense, in this day and age everyone expects to be able to write code for every device they own. I can write code for my lightbulbs, yet I can't write code for the Xbox One? So tired of gaming companies living in the past.
The main reason is technology. Machines, middleware libraries and graphics engines progress so much over 10 years. A game made ten years ago will get a massive boost in every area when it is remade today.
I gave up on it. Never know what you will get. Worthless until they fix it.
Anyone else get the beta update last night? Loving the double tap to snap feature. And the achievements app is just awesome! Very well done MS, very well done.
As for ESRAM, it is a cache. A very fast, low latency cache with its own processing "move engines". Typically you won't store everything in ESRAM, only the parts of the draw that need multiple updates on each call. Also the ESRAM is not CPU accessible which means any code that is being processed in parall...
Very true, Second Son was disappointing on so many levels. Kinect Sports Rivals was too. Taking away golf for poor versions of shooting and soccer was a terrible decision.
Congratulations on having horrible taste in games :D
Inside and Ori are two of my favorite things about E3
Definitely loving mine! Best launch of any console I can ever remember. Lots of great games and constant updates of features.
Wish Sony could take a page out of the Microsoft book and deliver a similar experience on the PS4.
That is incorrect, ESRAM has almost 0 latency it is the reason it is so damn expensive and also the reason it was created to act as a cache. Higher bandwidth and no latency is what makes ESRAM cost 20 times more than DDR5.
Also GDDR5 plays no role in processing power besides providing a tunnel for the data to travel to the GPU. It has no processing capabilities at all. It is storage/memory.
Haha, well Crytek is a 3rd party graphics engine company. They mostly make money selling and supporting graphics tech. Their games division is much smaller. Naughty Dog is a game developer, Crytek is a graphics company that happens to make games as well.
ummm.. both system have unified architecture lol. Horrible and confusing article.
That is fine with me. Next year will be epic! Besides I am so busy with Project Spark I don't have time for anything else haha
Yes, best moment of E3 for me by a long shot!
Maybe resurrect B.C., I thought that was a good idea.
That site is pretty ridiculous. Biggest fanboy agenda site on the internet. And all their ""insiders"&quo t; lol
I would say Xbox is winning as far as processing goes. Multitasking is the most processor intensive thing you can do on a system and PS4 doesn't even have that feature but instead uses iPad suspend resume.
Crazy pricing, has to change.
Street Fighter IP would be nice but depends on the price. Definitely not the gaming icon they once were back in the early gaming days.
I can't wait for Inside, Ori, Below personally. I am such a huge fan of atmospheric games. And of course all the big name titles too.
True, but then again I loved Ryse. Ryse's block/attack rhythm system was awesome.
It is a good deal for people that didn't buy the original game. I guess if you think of it as a game of the year edition or something it is good. Just wish they would have come up with a way for existing owners to upgrade at a bigger discount.
