Man, I would have bought Kinect right away if I had known I could have sex with it.
I'm trying to kinda force the whole Tales series out of my mind since localization hopes seem so dim. Sad but it's what I feel I must do. :(
Would definitely like to play most of these though!
It's not a "top" anything article, as it says right in the beginning ;)
Awesomeness of the game was not the only factor in choosing though. There was also timeliness and variety to factor in.
Cool I'm gonna go to automative website CarandDriver.com and post stories about babies dying when moms leave them in the car during summer.
Oh wait. That would be stupid.
Kind of like how posting this on N4G is completely retarded.
^_^ Now now, no need to be argumentative, it's Christmas!
While your confusion is understandable, given mainstream perception, I should note that what you said (referring to what I described) is the most widely accepted *defining* element of an RPG though, is the thing: user-controllable, experience-based growth. The user has the option to level grind, and smashing enemies repeatedly will always lead to level-ups at interval. This is what separates RPGs like Yakuza and Demon...
You wander around town gaining EXP and leveling up by fighting as many enemies as you please. Action RPG. Let it go man. Merry Christmas.
I'd also like to mention Cladun for PSP. Great for a longtime gamer who enjoys dungeon crawlers with deep customization.
I don't know if I agree with the article or not, but since you have a strong opinion about it, I might ask of you which game deaths have been more significant? Put it out there.
I love that this game now has a pretty bad reputation, but when the first completed import review was a 7/10 people spazzed out and said there was no way it was legit, haha. People get wrapped up in hype so easily.
"calling themselves journalist."
Oh, that is a touch of unfortunate grammatical irony.
"2010 has been a great year in gaming, probably the best yet in the last decade"
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah aha
Announcing Announcements.
Man I need to finish this game. My memory card wiped on me halfway through it on PSX, I borrowed it on GBA but didn't finish before I had to give it back, and just haven't picked up the DS one yet. :( Perhaps this will be the one I finally finish?
What comments do they make about the games?
Oh and I still want the game too. It played decently at TGS, but demos tend to be so small and such. ^^;
*Facepalm*
And this kind of stuff will contribute to its sales being through the roof, haha. Hopefully the gameplay is as deep as all these dressup options.
I suppose that's true that the devs aren't responsible for a foreign translation so you've got a point there.
Kain:
It's barely Dec 2 here -- as in, it's 12:45am as I post this ^^;;
Oddly though, my local place had the game out and were selling it today. I suppose that happens now and then.
MH3 came out today. I was in the store when it happened. It was much less a "store" than a "pile of dudes" at 5pm when the game officially went on sale. They posted a sign on the door "There are already too many people in the store. We will run out of Monster Hunter today. We're very sorry."
They also said "no plans" 2 mere days before announcing Eternal Sonata for English release, complete with lots of English screens and voice clips! LOL, seriously, they're not going to announce anything until THEY'RE ready and that's that. Until the very minute they plan, it will always be "no plans." ;)
