They were flops due to two things only:
- Dreamcast sales were the worst ever that gen;
- The game cost to produce was gigantic.
The game is great, just bad business management.

I cant call a game PS4 exclusive if it's on another plataform, and many of those games are on PS2 / PS3 / PSvita.
But I guess its trendy to dig oldies and sell then as new, to pay to replay the games you played in the past, or that you could get more cheap for another system.
And yes Japan as been ecliped last gen, the games they put out were weak.
This Kickstarter is embarasing, a game of this magnitude in a Kickstarter, ffs, this game is as importante as God of War or Gear of War, and many other titles, this was the Dreamcast greatest game and one of the more waited games on consoles ever, how can anyone make this into a Kickstarter is just patetic, and so is the creator of the game for not going to someone that would produce the game with a big budget.
Porting is easy and low cost, plus, if translated the rest of the world will be happy.
This is what all campanys should do, porting a game between PS4 and Xbox One is a piece of cake due to the nature of the Hardware, special non demanding games, so they should all do this to increase the profit margin and the list of fans.
IOS and Android, I really enjoy playing rpg's during my travels.
I read its also coming to PC, I never realy liked any Tales games, if it proves to be something worthy I will play on the PC.
Tri-Ace and Level 5 JRPG's are what I'm looking for, but please no more jrpg's like Ni no Kuni to childish, and also no White Wnight Chronicles.
Give me Jrpj's that have more serious grafics story wise, last gen RPG's are really weak, saved only by the NDS.
My PS4 games to play are Persona 5, Disgaea 5, Rime and Uncharted 4, and some of the anounced RPG's that will hit only in the end of 2016.
And yes I have a ton more gaming platforms to play, so for ps4 only Jrpg's, Uncharted and maybe SF5 if online doesn't need PSN plus.

The is no neeed for dynamic lightning - fake works great, no dynamic weather - makes no sence in races of 5m to 10m cool but not needed, no dynamic time of day - again the time that it takes to make a track is too small to implemente this, week AF = 60fr and not 30.
"XO is weaker console"??? Why are you calling out for this, the fact is that the best two racing games of this gen are on Xbox One are bothering you?
@Tito08 I dont remember a game beeing multiplatform for that many years and them going exclusive for Microsoft or Nintendo.
Street Fighter Ex Plus Alpha 2 was so freking good, a pity SFEx 3 was crap, thats one game I hope it gets revived.

@rainslacker if PS4 ever as compatibility with fisical disks form PS1 and PS2, I will be up in arms, being able to get ride of my PS1 and PS2 while keeping my 2D fighting games, RPG's and R-type / Raiden that I have will make me a very Happy person, but that will never happen due to PSnow.
The anime was fantastic, the game humn, it wont be that good, but lets hope its at least a good game.
Bacause all the fans want is HD remaster after HD remaster, games with no online gamplay, no proper updates, the ability to rebuy the games you already have, sooo many good things came from Sony ever listning from the fans.
We already know that Sony remove the PS2 compatibility from the PS3 when they were losing in sales, they did it to stop bleeding Money.
MS as allways been giving more even since the launch the XBox 360, the X360 came with a hdmi cable the PS3 didn't, ps3 removed usb ports and ps2 compatibility, the X360 gave compatibility.
In Europe the original Xbox was 450€ and when MS cut the price to 300€ to be more competitive, they anounced that everyone that bough...
I see this crap comparations almost every day, this is stupid, Project cars is a mediocre game:
- Kart racing as got to be one of the worst driving experiences I had, the camera is the most anoying thing ever;
- You cant select you own cars? WTF, predefined cars for races;
- Take out the karts, F1 and look alikes, etc..., normal cars are what 20-30?
- Frame rate problems;
- Menus are horrible;
- No decente music in menus;
