The own to play thing is the trend that I'm not liking the most. There's been too many games where I'd shell out $60+ and they are just not worth it. The solution is to rent the games or buy them used because they are simply not worth it. Now I have to have a code in order to play the games that I rent/buy used? GTFO. That will make me even less likely to consider the game.
I wouldn't be surprised if a lot people buying the PS3s don't know that PSN is down. Hell they'll probably think something is wrong with their Internet or something lol.

When are people going to realize that most consumers do not give a crap about graphics. If that was the case the wii wouldn't be in first place and the 360 wouldn't be in second place. As long as the games look good enough it doesn't matter. Only "hardcore gamers" care about graphics and you guys are outnumbered lol.
Even with 2 discs Dead Space 2 will still probably sell better on Xbox 360. I don't mean to sound like a fanboy, but damn, this truly isn't a big deal. This is only a problem for fatasses that can't get out of that imprint they made in their couch.

Gaming is probably the largest growing form of entertainment. That means it's gonna expand to more people. That's just how things go. Cellphones were only meant for select people at first, but now almost everyone has one. The same thing is going to happen with gaming. Only a small percentage were gaming, now everyone is gonna be gaming. You just have to deal with it because it ain't gonna stop lol.

All my friends on PSN keep telling me about Portal, but I played the Orange Box and found it to be boring. I honestly don't get the hype behind it. HL on the other hand...that's a different story.

It's bad for gamers but not for business lol. I do tend to use Netflix a lot on my xbox though. Heck, sometimes I just sit in a party and chat with friends.
