I like Fall Guys a lot, but I don't think it can have the long legs of Fortnite or Rocket League.
Those two games rely a lot less in luck, what reward dedicated players more than some aspects of Fall Guys. Maybe over time Mediatonic change the game's core to endure, but for now it doesn't have the appeal for a long competitive multiplayer.
What a bummer.
I see it as a budget product. In that range we have $199 Xbox One and PS4 (likely) and Switch.
All devices for 1080p TVs. If price is the main factor, $100 can be huge.
It can be an alternative for late adopters and budget buyers? Yes. But it'll need to convince these people to pay $100 more for it instead of $199 in a PS4 or XOne.
And need to convince people that those $100 more for a PS5 DE (likely) are not worth.
It can be a hit or a miss. Nothing between.
It seems to me a fair proposal for those who prefer quantity.
Non portable Switch is coming.
Nobody using high end displays, TVs or monitors, are going for this product. It's designed for those with 1080p displays that don't want or can't upgrade.
An amazing choice business wise. It's like the Wii for 2006.
Let's be clear of something: it's a machine designed to take those that still are on 1080p displays and don't moved to PS4/Xbox One generation.
I think it's an amazing product for the business side of things.
It will. The corporation dream of complete control over IP access.
So? Call of Duty don't have MT in SP potion of the game too. And I see a loot of people complaining.
Call of Duty don't have microtransactions on the single player potion of the game. So what gives CdPR free pass over it?
ZeroBlue2... I didn't say that I like it or that I agree. I explained how it works. And like any other for-profit company, Nintendo wants only to enrich the owners. While consumers continue to pay her $ 60 for anything, it will continue seeking investment efficiency limit.
tombfan....I said that Nintendo knows that it doesn't have to put much effort into remaking these games because it knows its consumers. The company knows that more than content, the brand is essential for anyone who buys Nintendo.
As a for-profit company, there is a need to expand profit margins as much as possible.
They know they don't have to. Too much work and would sell exactly the same as much.
It's not laziness. It's efficiency. The company calculates the investment and the return.
They know that whether or not the game improves there will be queues to buy this collection for $ 60. Nintendo is a lifestyle brand, as is Apple. More than consuming it is essential to have the product. Nobody can call themselves a real fan if they don't have this box on the shelf with limited sale.
Nintendo knows the passivity of its consumers. And it ex...
Still, delaying won't change it. If it's out some people will eventually buy. If it's not, total sales will be zero. And it can harm Microsoft plans with Gamepass, which is clearly the main plan.
O don't think they should delay the launch of XsX. Even though there's no first party game to go with the device this year I can't see why skip 4 or 6 months of sales would do any good to the console. If it's out, people, even if not much, can buy and wait for the games. If it's not out, people can't buy and the games won't come either way.
It'll be a weak launch. Microsoft hopes that someone sees value on gamepass and buy a new console for i...
I already have more than 220 games on PlayStation Plus. And a lot of people coming from PS4 will have libraries of that size.
And with the advantage of not risking one day the game will be there and the next day it will be gone. On day one, my PS5 will have a catalog roughly equal to the game pass.
It's pretty simple:
Current gen: $60
Next-gen: $70
Both: $70
Short answer: no.
Long answer: nooooooooooooo.
