I also blame the postman for the bills.
Xbox was the consoles for WRPG back in the day. It had Fable, Final Fantasy XI and received Oblivion and Mass Effect first.
PlayStation was more a JRPG machine.
A ps3 remaster is your definition of next gen on PS5? 🤔
They are just trying to justify something that needs to be criticized.
Although Demon's Souls come only for PS5 it's not a game that NEEDS PS5. It's a PS3 game with a fresh coat of paint.
I get that some people accept visuals as a new gen. I don't. I think we need games that make experiences that were impossible on older hardware. Remember how Skyirm was almost impossible to play on PS3? PS4 made possible big open world games. Not only prettier games.
And there's only one game that seems to be impossible ...
Next-gen consoles will arrive this year.
But Sony and Microsoft's decisions made next-gen games be delayed to 2022 at least.
My vision about Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 changed completely now.
Sony should ask politely to MS put Game Pass on PlayStation, asap.
I think it's a good investment. If you get a copy for $60 keep it sealed, play better versions emulated and sell them 2 years from now, you can make a lot of money.
If I lived in US I'd buy as many as I can.
Maybe we need. But next gen will only arrive in 2022. For now both PS5 and XSX are deluxe products to play cross gen games.
Jack Tretton, Shawn Layden, Andrew House, Adam Boyles and Kaz Hirai just to say key people.
Shu Yoshida was demoted from WWS to early access/indie relations.
All those guys made ps4 as clear business for customers. Now, Jim Ryan is just a Phil Spencer without charisma and Hermen Hulst is just a proxy to put games on PC.
But hey, some people think that everything is cool as before.
I didn't say that it's my favorite game, even though I really liked. I said it's The defining game of the generation. I think open world rpgs are the FPS of this generation: the most popular gente, and the witcher 3 represents it for its best and for its worst.
Nobody is asking if you like or not or even what is the best game of the generation. The article and my answer is about the game that defined this generation. You could argue that is isnt open world rpg. That other genre representes 8th gen even more. But your favorite game is irrelevant here.
I know is some kind hard to understand, but defining a generation is different to be the best game for someone personal taste. I know you wanna be right and make your opinion the only one. But when trying to do that stay on the subject.
I said what game defined The generation. Insider all your rant you agree with me open world rpgs are everywhere. And there's no better example than The Witcher 3.
Every generation has its own defining genre. This was Open World RPG.
That in mind if someone asked me to say ONE game that define 8th gen I'd say The Witcher III Wild Hunt.
There were a lot of great games, but I think Geralt's adventure is pure definition of 2014~2020.
It will win the sales war and the first party games war. But the level of the dispute has been lowered to rock bottom. Microsoft and Sony are fighting over a set of rules that only benefit companies.
Although there is a winner between the two, we, the consumers, are being defeated with the new generation. We become sheep. We look like Apple or Nintendo fans.
But now, they fired everyone that made PS4 great, and with PS5 they became a Microsoft with better first party studios. Same lies, same unclear messages.
In Brazil we pay around 48 usd for a launch game.
If Nintendo can charge $60 for 3 emulated games with the newer with more than 10 years, it becomes easy to justify $70 on GTA VI or Red Dead Redemption III.
We already know those consoles are dead on arrival.
Good for microsoft. Bad for games, game design and players.
