This thread makes me laugh. Its like a bunch of people that have owned a skateboard for 7 years, and they're getting really excited about finally getting a Toyota, whilst you've owned a Ferrari for years that destroys it.
Surely the fact that they can't hit 60fps, proves that there IS a bottleneck?
Of course you're not going to hit bottlenecks if you're the killzone developer, since they're quite visibly aiming for 720p 30fps
Try doing anything above that Guerrilla, and you'll see your bottlenecks.
I've learnt to take developer statements lightly before a console is released. Anyone remember being told that the ps3 would give us 1080p 120fps games?
Give it a few years, and that 1.6ghz tablet cpu will bottleneck like hell.
When comparing to Xbox, Sony fanboys make a big deal about graphics, even if the difference is tiny
When comparing to PC, and the PC version looks WAY better (better textures, way higher resolution) suddenly they don't care about graphics anymore

If you want it all - textures, physics, high frame rate, and a high resolution - your ONLY option is a gaming pc
Its foolish to think that little black box you bought from GameStop for $300 could be capable of all that.
I say blame your tablet CPU, horrible choice that will bottleneck mostly of your games for years to come.
PS4 isn't gonna do 1080p 60fps on many games. The extra power that the PS4 has, over the PS3, will be used on textures and physics.

Why even bother getting something with 'comparable' specs... when you can get something with BETTER specs? You can't get a 'comparable' ps3 gpu, since it's a pile of rubbish from 7 years ago. Lol. Most gpu's on the market will be STRONGER

PC looks better, but more importantly, you're forgetting that this is a tech demo. Your ps4 games will look nothing like this because you have extra overheads in an actual game, compared to a tech demo.
More importantly, PC looks better before the new consoles are even released... and these are supposed to last 6 years? Using a 2012 tablet cpu in 2018? The gap will become even bigger than it was last gen

You're only seeing AMD in the PS4, 720 and WiiU because they're cheaper. No other reason.
They DO understand the optimisation, the point they're making is that even with this optimisation, there's a limit because the hardware is so weak (tablet cpu, mid range gpu from 2012 expected to last 6 years)
Case in point, battlefield 4 720p (and probably 30fps)

Imagine that, God of War running natively at 2560x1600 at 60fps... everything being loaded instantly off a blistering fast SSD
Meanwhile, stick the disc in your ps4, it'll piddle along at 30fps, dip to 20fps when a big monster appears, and run at a (amazing by 1997 standards) 720p resolution
It's stupid, gimmickly features like this that convince me that Sony will die this generation. Honestly, they've come out with some crap in the past, but this is quite possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
Microsoft and Nintendo aren't much better either, but I'd at least give them the credit for trying to innovate something useful

The idiots on this site never fail to amaze me. You might think Nvidia are 'butthurt', but in reality they're just trolling you because they know they're better. You might think millions of cheap ps4 processors is a big sale, but Nvidia makes supercomputers, and have a huge presence in mobile. There is FAR more money in those things than the ps4. It ain't worth their time to make stuff for the ps4 because they'd get less money, because it's a cheap part
Damn you can just smell the poverty in this thread. I use a PC for all multiplats (2560x1440, 16xAA, ultra high textures destroys everything) and consoles for the exclusives (though the ps4/720 can't come soon enough because both my ps3 and 360's games look like absolute junk)
Already pre-ordered my ps4, should have some decent games. If it's a multiplat though, I'm buying the PC version and that ps4 ain't gonna get any use. So it better have exclusives if...
If you think your games will suddenly go from 30fps to 60fps just because devs were told they're getting a bit more memory, you're in for disappointment
Memory isn't a substitute for an average gpu and shockingly awful cpu.
