I freaked out because after my 360 restarted after the update (the first update I have been through because I got my 360 in October), it froze and made a really loud noise. After a restart it seems to be ok!
This is one of the worst written column's I have ever read. There is not one piece of hard evidence in there. It's all his opinion, and its over 6 months old. He says PS3 not having a Gamerscore is a reason it sucks? I have an Xbox 360 and gamerscore is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen put in a console. It makes some people buy bad games just to get gamerscore. Since when is gaming about that?
Gamespot needs to reap what they sow. It's been obvious about their review bias for a while. Bet all you who have been making fun of PS3 fans for crying foul feel dumb now.
AND ALL OF YOU SHOULD BE TOO. This brings to mind the Halo 3 reviews. Remember the unearthing of the fact that all reviewers got 800$ worth of SCHWAG to review it. (Keep in mind, i love halo and still play it constantly, (Gamertag: Imallvol) it is no where near a 10 or 9.5 or whatever reviews it got)
GET THE GAME REVIEWING INDUSTRY UNDER CONTROL. Right now, all I can trust is Kotaku and whoever it was that threw all 800$ worth of promotional stuff out the window.
Stop with the HD-DVD is cheaper crap. HD-DVD movies are like 40$ at walmart. I don't care if its dual layer. I want to buy HD. Thats a rediculous price.

Its not sold out anywhere, its not hard to find, massive hardware breakdown. I wanted this sooo bad, but I can not ignore all the hardware problems.
I am playing Halo 3 right now actually. Is it a good game. Its ok, but it was hyped like no other. MS gave all reviewers 800$ worth of schwag to review their game. Of course it scored well even though it was a flop. Do not compare games to Halo 3.
In the end his reasoning you have to support crap to get better games. WTF??? He says if you dont give games like AC a good score, you will only get Tony Hawk remakes. WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP. This guy is a MORON. Especially since just about everyone is giving it a mediocre score.

my roommate just played the demo at walmart and he could not stop telling me how bad the guitar controller is and how loud and crappy the drums are. I was so looking foward to this game. I am going to get over there to try it, but anyone else back him up?

I have played Mario Galaxy nonstop today. SO MUCH FUN. And this is coming from a guy that HATES the Wii. In fact, I have hated everything I have played on it. (My room mate owns it). HOWEVER, MARIO IS AMAZING. Its really easy, but a ton of fun.

I almost had a heart attack before i realized they were just asking about computer gaming which I don't do. If apple got into Console gaming, i could never afford to play games again. Apple under delivers and overprices, and justifies it by making their stuff look pretty. DOWN WITH APPLE.
Well I am going to go ahead and vote this generation the worst. I like maybe 8 games total between the 3 current gen systems. Probably N64 my favorite followed by PS2 era. During the PS2 era, i owned a ps2, xbox and a gamecube. I was in gaming heaven with all three systems.

If people didn't purchase everything on the marketplace (such as halo maps), they might try reducing prices of stuff. People create their own demons.
