In the X360 days, there was no global swing towards Microsoft. Americans have such a limited view of reality. 🤦♂️
All GDC presentations are boring. Put GDC on YouTube and watch it, any one.
The lesson here is: don't listen to fanboys. Also, don't make fun of one side if you don't want to be classified as the other side.
It was a devs only show, regardless of your expectations. But I also think Sony should have done an event aimed at the lay public before. PR is a real thing.
It's not a split memory pool, it's split-speed memory, and yes, developers are likely to level the speed by the slowest.
That's not what some developers are saying, but who are they compared to n4g user?
Sony had no thunder yesterday, but interest has now increased. Tomorrow we will know who will have the thunder in hand.
As always.
I hope so.
Progressive scan is that "p" after the resolution number, such as 1080p (in contrast to "i" which means interlaced), which most think means pixels.
Oh, god, thanks!
I liked the way the new console is naked, with the parts fitting into others without cables and how the case consists of only two parts. Microsoft has greatly improved their hardware production (or assembly) quality. Congratulations to Microsoft engineers. It showed great specifications. That made me happy because I now know what to expect from the PS5 as Sony is in its own time.
Why? Is it so hard to fit 1 more TF or do you think Sony can't do what Microsoft did?
It is not in a Microsoft presentation.
The bigger, the better.
And, if they are honest, they will give a date for that.
@richierich
As long as people buy their consoles, they will not abandon it. The question is why buy their console now?
Glad you said Sony, not PlayStation.
Of course it's a good thing. You don't have to buy a PlayStation or Xbox to play its games, just a good PC. Obviously, this is terrible for console sales.
We still need to see what each hardware can do with its specifications. If the PS5 achieves more with less, Sony wins on hardware, after all. Or not.
