Sony, unlike Microsoft, doesn't disclose its intentions in advance. So, we don't know anything about what the PS5 will be like or what trend Sony will follow. Maybe PS5'll be more "always on" than "XB2". We are simply between the black hole of information from Sony and the flood of promises from Microsoft.
Honestly, Sony should convert the maximum of games from its old platforms to PS4 and, preferably, give them away for free to those who have already bought them before. Or should launch a new mini PS3 even cheaper than the current one. Bring a new PS3 or let it die.
Sony is a strange company. They can do wrong now what they had done right before. Sony needs to learn to follow what's right and change what they miss.
Snapdragon 845 will be great for a VR stand alone device and would replace the need for a separate processing center. But I think the price would be too high.

Funny some people saying that XBO is not important because Microsoft has Windows10 when nobody uses the Windows Store. Everyone buys via Steam. XBox as a brand is a deserted area on the PC. It is much more irrelevant than the console is.

Multiplatform are not enough. That's the beauty of being a PlayStation user, having choices that others don't have.
They can make Demon's Souls 2 (or remaster) instead.
