I have to say uncharted 2 because it felt like a turning point this gen. Something about the game felt like pure magic. Honorable mentions includes heavy rain, la noire, batman aa, journey, and witcher 2 because of how unique of an experience they were.
This is off topic, but i think resistance 3 has the best fps single player experience this gen. I have not played bioshock yet, but when I do I will make the final call. But until then, this stands.

Can people please shut up about devs focusing on graphics more than gameplay. It as become a proverbial saying this gen. If a game has good graphics but awful gameplay, it is not because hey "focused" on the graphics. Its either the gameplay does not interest you, or the gameplay is just completely broken. Or maybe god of war 3 was the first god of war on the ps3. The anticipation and sales will of course be higher.

I can't tell if it looks better than the 3, but it appears the animation as gotten better. I suspect, since this is the PC version, the ps4 and Xbox versions should look the same, while being in 1080p. Hopefully.
I just dont understand. This game is really good, despite it being the fourth console iteration. This is what god of war 3 should have been like.

You are really irritating. Do you have some sort of vendetta against ascension, god of war in general.
You say "innovation." What innovations are you speaking of? What do people mean by this? I am not trying to be an asshole, but if you were to make a game, how would you innovate it, moving away from traditional play. People forget that potiental gamers are born everyday. All genres will always be fresh. Seriously, what do you want them to do to "innovate," while being grounded in reality? Maybe I am lacking in imagination here.

Not everyone owns a PSP, so your logic is kind of flawed. If they all came out on the ps3, then you could have an argument. But if we were to look at the ones that came out in consoles, we've only seen four entries, spanning two consoles. Unlike gears of war where there have been four entries on one console.
But I really don't understand what it is about the game, for it is better than previous console entries in every aspect.
Some people just dont seem to fathom that. Its kind of like they finshed the base model, now its about polishing and making in more refined in all areas to get the beefed up model.
Look at what Sony's first party were able to accomplish on a now ancient hardware. Their first party games can still hold their own against some of what pcs have to offer. Since the ps4 is 8-9 times more powerful, we could really see amazing looking games on the console, despite it being a full price of a nividia gpu. I dont get why pc people boast about their tech so much when they can never truly see the potiental of said tech. All it is is power that is not being utilized to the fulles...

Xbox, yes. 360, no, just no. It had potential in which it failed to live up to. Sometimes i think ms don't even know what they are doing with the console.
