lol, no credit needed... just would be cool if they did it though.

And yes, it's nice to get along on N4G...

Since the Kinect is always on during the game, they should secretly scan your face in and have you casually encounter your zombie-look alike in the game, just to freak you out.

I think this is one of the few launches where the launch lineups are good enough to sell consoles. Most of my friends have told me they banded together to get PS4s, but I can't help but accept that Killer Instinct, Ryse, Titanfall, Dead Rising 3 and Forza are all heavy contenders of games I want to play. Almost all of the games on PS4 that I want to play are multiplat. And I like the Xbox One's controller a lot more than the much improved PS4 controller. When it comes to most of t...

What's crazy is how far along this gen has come. Can you imagine someone showing off GTA V at the console reveals back in 2005. I don't think anyone would believe them... even though there was that Killzone 2 demo...

Yeah, this was really impressive to watch and well edited (for all those film students out there).

This is a killer launch lineup though... PS4's lineup is impressive as well. Remember the PS3's lineup... goodness, I went to the store and they literally had 6 games to choose from. I reluctantly got Resistance (irony?) for my first game because it was co-op.

That's how I understood as well... and (I'm about to get blasted for this) this isn't the first time Playstation directly copied off their competition.

I was never under the impression Xbox was flipping on games tied to your account. There's no reason why this can't still happen, just like there's no reason for me to be unable to access my games on someone else's PC with Steam. It just requires a simple one-time log in. Similar to Steam's DRM, Xbox could very well do the same thing, by not allowing people signed in on two different devices at the same time.

I think there's (even more) confusion on ...

Let's just set the record straight...

How the fuck do you prove you're a gamer? Just because a whole bunch of MALE exec's say they are gamers, you believe them because they know their content.. and of-course, men like to game.

If a woman were to come out and bullshit us and says she games all the time, we'd call bluff and be like this is PR shit.... why else? Because women don't really game... not like us men do... please..

I agree Microsoft needs to do a much better job at showing us what this device can do. Many consumers aren't willing to take their word for it when it comes to hundreds of dollars.

Oh yeah, I play fantasy football... probably more seriously than I play video games. That NFL app will be used a lot, I would think.

I think it's unfair to say the Xbox One is underpowered. It's not as powerful as the PS4, but to say it's underpowered suggests th...

I can accept that the Xbox One may be a less valuable console to the person who only wants to game on it, but I think some people are being completely unfair and closed minded to what Xbox is trying to do. Having a connected experience is by no way a bad thing. A lot of people watch TV, maybe you don't, but most do. It's a fact. What is so bad about a connected experience where you can watch tv, get game invites, check your email, search online, rent movies, etc. all in one place?...

I PC game a lot, so nothing really took my breath away, but MGS5 definitely got a well respected nod from me. I like where things are headed. Graphics have always been a slow evolution though. I think what a lot of us gamers are failing to see is how the gameplay is also evolving as well. Developers have definitely seem to show much more interest in social aspects of their gaming, whether it's persistent online worlds, true to player AI, or social updates via Miiverse, Twitch, or Ustr...

Whoa, I didn't know this was a widespread thing. This happens to my DS3 when left unplayed for a couple of days.

I was always hoping that this is the level of potential that the Xbox One is promising. This article is a good case of what the Xbox can do. It's too bad that they just didnt showcase this exact demo at one of their public media briefings.

Thanks for sharing the article. I hope Sega and CA don't drop this game in development as fast as they dropped the WiiU version of Colonial Marines.

Really, we can't lose faith in publishers and developers... who would've thought Rocksteady Games was going to make something as awesome as Arkham Asylum/City, especially after such a long line of mediocre Batman games.

What's sad is that the blockbuster publishers will say "this IP has historically done poorly so we're not going to invest in it"... I would've really liked to see a Fallout-style Aliens game. But the next one will most likely be a smaller passion project.

I totally get what you're saying. I do feel however that the subscription model and traditional model of payment can coexist and will garner a much larger install base than simply relying on just one of them.

I feel that you are unconvinced that the subscription model would be compelling or perhaps just wouldn't work fundamentally. I don't quite understand your thoughts on having to prove internet connectivity. If you are contracted with cable, internet, or Xbo...

I'm willing to bet faulting on your cell phone bill one month into your shiny new contract will cause more than a simple shutting off of your service... seeing how you technically owe them money. You wouldn't go around saying, but I still got my shiny new iPhone6 on the cheap when most of your functionality is disabled and your credit and future prospect of getting another cell phone service is down the drain.

Faulting on a cable or internet service provider (if the...

I totally agree with you... but I would never underestimate the power of an original HD Zelda/Metroid/Mario game.

But yeah, as a Wii U owner, a bit bored right now.

I'm a Steam user and I can't help but see the similarities between the Durango and Steam when it comes to transactions.

Which also leads me to believe that possibly like Steam, if Durango is truly digital only then all these transactions should be linked to your Xbox account and (like Steam) you should be able to play/reinstall your games wherever you sign in with your account (on whoever's Durango). The catch being that you can only be signed-in in one location ...
