Good points.
I still feel that MMO is not a good sales pitch to convince consumers that Xbox Live Cloud is going to graphically enhance performance. MMO games rarely compete and almost never outclass the graphical fidelity or performance of offline single player games.
Hypothetically: How can Halo visually improve exponentially within a single generation with the power of cloud computing? The answer cannot simply be that Halo will become an MMOFPS (though ...
Cloud computing can never be substantial with XO due to the fact that these games also have to work on offline consoles. It'll hopefully be the difference between a 30fps and a 60fps or perhaps 4K resolutions. All things that are optional, but not necessary to run the game.
For those of you who have unreliable/slow internet or data caps most likely won't be missing out on anything more than cosmetic enhancements.
I doubt that MS will release games t...
Apparently, Next-Gen starts whenever this game releases.
Commodus
And now they love Maximus for his mercy.
So I can't just kill him, or it makes me even more unmerciful!
The whole thing's like some crazed nightmare.
Unknown
He is defying you.
Falco
His every victory is an act of defiance.
The mob sees this, and so do the senate.
Every day he lives, they grow bolder.
Unknown
Kill him.
Commodus
No.
I don't always sigh out loud, but when I do it's usually to something as immature as this shit.
Games will be great.
But one of the reasons why we obsess over numbers so much is that we know for a fact, financially speaking, Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony want their consoles to stretch as long as possible... spokespersons are saying 10 years.
10 years is a long time, and the better these "numbers" are, the further the industry can evolve with these consoles before games tech starts becoming apparently stagnant. We'd be fools to think PC gam...
Sorry, Phil... there are plenty more fish in the sea.
I actually prefer having two distinctly different platforms... spec wise, they will need to be similar, so that multiplat games can still exist.
The media and gamers alike are sharks that have been in search for a fresh meal for ten years and at the first sign of blood, we all go ape shit... we fantasize about how perfect our next meal will be, but all we have to go off of are a few drops of blood...
By being region-free and having every Xbox One serve as a debug kit, Microsoft has literally opened a world of indie development. If gamers in Japan don't like all the "western crap" on the Xbox.. they actually have the power to make the eastern game they've been wanting. Of-course there will be fees... this is where Microsoft can demonstrate how "indie-friendly" they want to be.
You know, I was suspicious of this.
As great as "unlimited storage" sounds, we have to think about how useful it'll be for us and even in the quote, the key part of his statement is "Xbox Live Content"... which very much limits it to Xbox Live video, music, profiles, etc... Doesn't seem to be a major leap over what's being done now.
Though... If the fellows at Microsoft find a way to put latency sensitivity data only on the loc...
Hmmm....
(Cautiously optimistic)
I guess I do have a lot of ripped movies on my computer that I can upload to Xbox Live and then be able to play on my Xbox One... sounds useful.
Man, those Tweets make Blow seem quite (dare I say it) lazy... many good points were made against him... why suddenly does Blow feel he "needs" over 5gb of memory.
Maybe The Witness is something that amazing... maybe not.
Though I'm not necessarily against more than 8gb of ram though. Seeing that a good portion is dedicated to OS, I feel another portion should be dedicated to cloud processing (just bare with me) as well. So you'd have ram ...
I feel like I'm the only one that is confused about this tweet...
Didn't Cerny say that all PS4 games could be played remotely with the Vita? How different is that in terms of using the Vita as a controller for a PS4 game? Wasn't the whole point to have two different screens, such as the Wii U?
Or is this specifically about using a DS4 at the same time with a Vita on a PS4 game?
As long as people enjoy animated films, there's no reason why video games cannot be the natural evolution in storytelling that Hollywood's been looking for. The two industries don't have to compete either. By working together they can achieve amazing things and compelling storytelling. In 2000, Dreamworks and Ridley Scott gave us Gladiator with spectacular visual effects and powerful acting. In 2013, Microsoft and Crytek dares to achieve that level of impact, but with the imme...
Sony is the only company that officially spoke about their GPU... Microsoft is most likely deliberately keeping a tight lid on their finals specs until a further date closer to release. And I'm sure Sony will make some minor adjustments as well before launch.
This is really interesting... but sadly the first thought that came to my mind is whether or not this makes it easier for people to "hack" the console?
I agree Sony's selection was a bit odd... wouldn't Comic Con be the best place to show off a superhero game like Infamous??
Lol, the disagrees... I'm glad Microsoft and Sony have adopted the excitement that is seasonal sales, much akin to Steam... if only Nintendo will step it up too.
In other news; Evil Within looks pretty good. lol
