ok I agree with you about 60$ a game being too much (artificially high... lower price would yield exponentially more sales as shown by steam holiday sales)

Are people downloading because they don't have legitimate access to in in their local markets? (i.e. if i lived in Thailand, could I buy the game from an authorized distributor?)

generally I'd be with you on this one, I usually wait for a price drop but I got one for xmas from my sister. But yes, wait for a drop in price, atm there aren't enough games to justify the price.

Actually , if i'm not mistaken there will, at some point, ( if not all ready) be arcade games that you can buy on your windows 7 phone, pc and xbox that will be cross platform accessible.
If the subsciption service offerse good value for my money then why not ( 40 dollars a year, get access to back catalogue, new maps , etc etc...) but probs wont offer decent value.

BO will be my last COD untill I see a reason to get a new one. I may rent MW3 just beat the single player but thats it. Too many other games to spend my money on.

I enjoy MW2 and BO multiplayer but im done with the series. I'm not going to spend 50$ every year for similar products. BO is my last for a while. Maybe if they change things up a few years from now, ill jump back in , but im content with BO zombies and MP. Too many other games anyways!
@Biggest. Its not a money thing. Its a time thing. I've finally just had a chance to finish off new vegas and black ops over the xmas break. I still have a good 20 games that I bought last year/got for xmas that i need to start/beat. Buying the games is one thing. Being able to play them all is another. god damn real life taking up my gaming time.

while I agree that it was alot of work and would be cool if ubisoft did something for the guy, they owe him nothing. He/She made the video of their own volition because they wanted to do it. Its not like Ubisoft commissioned the work or anything. Sooooo ya, he doesn't "deserve" a reward because he "worked hard" but it would be cool if ubisoft decided to give him something.
