I will be getting RDR for PS3 as I don't have a 360. It really doesn't matter which version you get, you'll have the same enjoyment with either.
This game looks like the older Sands of Time/ Warrior Within type. I loved those games, and with this one looking very similar I may like it.
It will be one of those games that I will wait for a price drop or buy second hand as I am getting RDR and Alpha Protocol first. Those seem better games for me.
I dont know about the best ever. Just Cause 2, GTA 4 and Episodes, RF Guerilla, Infamous, Assassins Creed 2 etc. Just looked at my collection of PS3 sandbox games and there is loads.
Been playing Just Cause 2 lots lately and its a great open world game with so many things to do. Looks great also, better than GTA 4 IMO.

I dont see the point in DLC to unlock everything. It would take out the fun of the game for me, I like to earn my unlocks by playing. The game would get boring quickly with nothing to unlock.
I am not suprised, very good game. They took the best out of AC1 and added what people wanted, which in turn made a great game.
Not sure about the new game having multi-player, but if it turns out good then alls well.
I like how the XMB is at the moment. Easy and quick to find whatever I want.

The DS3/Sixaxis is perfect as it is for me. The biggest problem for most people seem to be the R2/L2 buttons. Easy fix for that is get some click on triggers, most game shops sell them. I got some free with a magazine and they work well.
I am from UK and get 99% of my games from supermarkets. If you look around the large supermarkets you can always get new games cheaper than game shops. Games I get new are normally between £30 to £37. Other big shops, games are £39.99, and game shops can have a price of up to £45.

Good news. I have been wanting to try this game out before buying it as I don't know if I'll like it or not. Normally I know if I'm getting a game or not before it comes out but this game I have no idea.

The old Decathlon/ Hyper Sports/ Hyper Olympics were really bad on joysticks and keyboards, back in the day. Having to waggle joysticks or press keys as fast as possible.
Nowadays, probably button mashers are the worst for breaking controllers. Also getting mad at a game and throwing controllers can't be good for them.
600mb is nothing, I have games with way more data to download to HDD.
Rockstar have done well to get it down to 600mb.
I normally get at least 1 game per month, maybe 2 or 3. But April I wasn't interested in any games so didn't buy any. It seems a lot of people didn't buy much also.
Basically April was a pretty poor month for games, well, for me it was.
I have a good PC and a PS3 but buy all my games for PS3 rather than PC. I only buy games for PC if they aren't available on PS3.
I prefer to use DS3 or sixaxis rather than mouse/keyboard (lot of messing around trying to get pads to work with certain games on PC). I also know PS3 games work perfectly without having to go into settings and optimizing things, i like the simplicity of the PS3.

Just Cause 2 is good (water looks amazing), but not as good as Assassins Creed. Uncharted 2 had some good views also.
