Also beside the demo, the review embargo ends On September 20th, a full week before the game launches. I call that confidence in your product and have nothing to hide
Yes, the PS3 had 2 $100 price drop within it's first year. That is with the early expensive Blu ray drive and the Cell packaged in that console. You are correct sir. (:
You are talking about a company that just released a new revision of their console with an added UHD 4K blu ray drive and free games that cost the same as another revision by another console maker that still have the same blu ray drive from it's previous revision and took away an optical audio port. Microsoft will price the Scorpio competitively.
The Scorpio is based on the Vega RX490, which is an upgrade of the current $200 RX480 use on PS4 Pro, and will first be relea...
Well, I hope those that want native 4K games, hope they enjoy PS3 remasters and indies then as no current gen AAA games will run at 2160p on the PS4 Pro. Many will just stick to what they have for 1080p TVs due to the advantage of resolution bump on the PS4 Pro isn't that great.
For the majority that enjoys AAA modern console game on 4K TVs, that is a short year away but it shouldn't matter at all because most of the big AAA games like Mass Effect, Rock Star next ga...
Ziggurcat, I think you don't comprehend the concept of how game development work. The Last of Us PS4 remaster game uses the same PS3 assets developed for that system originally and bumped up the texture and resolution due to the increased horsepower the PS4 hardware offer. None of the assets were rebuilt from the grounds up to take advantage of the PS4 hardware. Same with other remasters like GOW3 and the Uncharted Collection. That is why these games offer not just a bump in resolution bu...
Aenea, learn how the real world of gaming works. By MS stating all their first party games will be able to hit 4K natively on Scorpio, that means many third party games will be the same.
Just like when Sony announced and show all their current generation games running on PS4 Pro from Uncharted 4, to Horizon Dawn Zero, those can't even hit native 4K. So no surprise that third party games like Mass Effect and Battlefield 1 follow the same method from Sony of upscaling on ...
Aenea,
http://www.usatoday.com/sto... "Any games we're making that we're launching in the Scorpio time frame, we're making sure they can natively render at 4K."
I don't expect every game to hit 4K on Scorpio, but it will be like something like 75- 80% of current AAA games will vs only about 5-10% that w...
All consoles are great alternative to PC gaming. It all depends to what you want as a gamer. If you want the best specs and graphics and have the $$$ to pay for a PC rig, consoles don't mean much to you. If you are a causal gamer and don't care much about specs, console is enough.
That sounds amazing for 4K TV owners. Microsoft was right when they said they could have released a marginal upgrade console this year but they are waiting when they can get to full native 4K and waiting a year was a great choice as far as technology and price point to make it a reality.
Patiently waiting to play the sequel to War on Cybertron 4K natively on Scorpio. Make it happen Activision.
Ziggurcat, That is not a good reply to my argument. The current PS4 can most definitely run some PS2 games and every PS One games that were released ages ago at native 4K if Sony ever consider remastering them so does that means the current PS4 can run games at native 4K?
Ziggurcat, using a PS3 port and a last generation game that isn't very power or graphically demanding are not the best examples. Let me know when the PS4 Pro can run recent AAA games natively.
Transformers is the original brand and GoBots is the generic brand but Megatron action figures cost and worth more than the generic knockoff 'Waterwalk' of the GoBots brand.
"The Xbox One S can ONLY UPSCALE from 1080p (or lower) to 2160p (4k)."
And when the Scorpio arrives, the same can be said about the PS4 Pro as Scorpio will offer higher resolution and native 4K over the PS4 Pro. It is all a cycle.
I know one thing, I'll will be watching Transformers on Ultra 4K Blu-ray natively on my 4K TV with my Xbox One S. That in itself, is heaven for me.
3. Slightly more Ram. It uses the same 8gb GDDR5 ram as the PS4. So where is the slightly more ram claim came from?
4. 1TB HDD. There are already 1tb HDD PS4 on the market, so I failed to see how this is something to brag about unless the HDD is SSD or 7200rpm instead of the same 5200rpm as seen in every console with a HDD built in.
Software and if Scorpio can be priced competitively and have 95% of the games like Mass Effect Andromeda, the next Call of Duty, the next Rockstar game running the best and highest resolution on console and continue to provide console exclusives, Scorpio will be fine. MS will have 2 systems that play the same game with Xbox One S being the budget console and Project Scorpio being the most powerful home console both with UHD Ultra Blu-ray support (which is a huge selling point over other cons...
How can this be a premium product if it is only $400? We were told the word 'premium' means expensive just like when Microsoft said Project Scorpio will be a premium product and many said it will be $600-$800. So does this mean the Scorpio will be priced close to PS4 Pro now since now the word 'premium' means something different than just being expensive?
You sounded scare because of the weak specs of the PS4 Pro. The PS4 Pro can't even do real 4K native games and Scorpio will be able to do so I don't think it is a reaction from MS, more like Sony finalized their console too early and it was too late for them to change the specs without losing billions in manufacturing cost and R&D. SONY has lost the specs and power war this gen. If you want full native 4K experience for your games, Scorpio is the only place to play them.
Newmonday, man you sounded hurt by the Specs difference to make up false claims like that.
Mass Effect like Bioware doesn't uses their own rendering tech, it is the same checkerboard upscaling scheme used like every games that was shown so far on the Pro. Also, Ram type, ESRAM got nothing to do with making a game compatible. Have you ever wonder why on PC games, the compatible settings, they always talk about #gb of ram needed, GPUs, and CPUs? Guess what, the Scorpio h...
