"Hahaha, as if Sony fans need to wait so long to be able to play UHD Blurays, ever heard of standalone players?"
So Ken Kutaragi, the father of PlayStation, was correct when he told PS supporters that they needed two jobs to afford a PlayStation back in 2006. Who would had thought he was actually from the future and was talking about the PS4. :p
So you need a $400 PS4 and another Sony $400 standalone 4K bluray player to experien...
With the only mid gen console that plays native 4K AAA Games, play my 4K bluray Transformers UHD disc, not to mention the most powerful console ever made, the wait, about 400 days is priceless. Anyways, my current Xbox One S already plays my upcoming Transformers 4K disc and all the games just fine in the meantime. :)
Every minute counts. Just like every cent counts when Sony decided to not include a $12 extra expense of an Ultra 4K Bluray drive in their upcoming 4K console and removed a 12 cent optical port on their Slim. /S
Nice! Kind of surprised by the result as PS4 gamers have console exclusives like No Man's Sky, Tomorrow's Children and tons of indies for them to play and it was a pretty dry Summer for both Xbox and Nintendo gamers.
Maybe when MS mentioned how many hours Xbox gamers spend on XB Live and BC really is more than just BS PR after all.
"Claiming it'll be 4k just for indies haha, you can't make this stuff up"
Since the indie, The Witness, from my link above is only able to render at 1440p and upscale, everyone claiming it'll be 4K just for indies were wrong. You are correct, as only a select amount of indies will be able to hit that 4K native magic number. Thanks for the correction.
looking at the Steam minimum requirement to play the Witness,

Have seen both 4K version of Batman V Superman on both streaming and UHD Bluray disc on my Xbox One S. No contest, disc wins with clearer pixels, darker blacks, cleaner pictures, and louder sounds. There is no substitute for UHD 4K disc. Sony screwed this one up by wanting to save $15.50.
Not true. It does render native 4K such as PS3 remaster TLOU but for some reason, an indie title like The Witness can't get to native 4K and is displaying only 1440p on the Pro.
http://the-witness.net/news... When using PS4 Pro with a 4k display, we will render at 1440p or possibly higher, all while keeping a consistent 60 frames per second. T...
Why are you feeling great that you can't play the game? Shouldn't you be feeling sad and upset that you can't play it? Maybe that is why people disagreed.
This is the equivalent of a reviewer giving an A for Transformers 3 the movie but in reverse grade for Forza Horizon 3. In another word, he is either clueless or baiting for hits.
Tell that to those fools that keep watching those pathetic Michael Bay Transformers sequels. I am ashamed to be associated with those movies after Transformers 1.
If we are talking about holding back hardware potential, we are already seeing that. All MP mode for every PS4 game must be at the same frame rate across all PS4s as mandated by Sony. That is already a big handicapped on the PS4 Pro's full potential. Why can't we get to play Destiny at 60fps for Pro players?
Hope that policy will change in the future as PC gamers have been playing online with each other at variable frame rates for ages and it doesn't seem like a...
This blog sounds like sour grapes. What is the purpose of Scorpio? To provide an option for gamers and people that want the most powerful console to play games and an unmatched all-in-one 4K media hub in their living room with native 4K games, 4K ultra blueray, 4K streaming for their 4K TVs. Same thing that Sony is attempting with the PS4 Pro, but with less power, less 4K games, and no 4K ultra blue ray support. End of story.
Some of these blogs by members here makes no se...
The Scorpio plays the same games as the Xbox One S and they will combine sales as one platform so only if Xbox One S failed to sell any unit now until the Scorpio launch, it is a non factor that the PS4 Pro is launching first. Both the PS4 Pro and Xbox One S play 95% of the same games, both upscale games to 4K, both have HDR, both can stream 4K media while the Xbox One S also have an UHD 4K bluray player and a $100 advantage. Microsoft will be alright until their 4K beast unleases next Fall. ...
