Well to my own surprise I did end up buying Hulu in addition to Netflix for use on my 360... But I really have to say, should there be a live tv service... meh... I recently canceled my cable video service because I wasn't using it anymore.

Hmmm, not an objective opinion on this anywhere, but ie10, right now, is easily the nicest web browser. Especially when it comes to plugins and plugin security.
Also it is not 2001 anymore, and drive by hacks simply don't happen that much anymore, and do not occur on one browser more than others when they do occur.

Couple of points... PS3 is not on top. The xbox library did not magiacally disappear. The core gamers are done with this console generation and they are all back on PC because this console generation is now dated and old.

They probably wont cut prices AFTER the the WiiU is out, because it is gonna cost more than either the PS3 or Xbox and will be in that awkward first year where it HAS NO GAMES.
PS3 ~might~ drop prices sometimes next year, but the xbox is not getting a price drop for the foreseeable future. IT PRINTS MONEY!

Kinect is bigger than Gaming. Period. That is why it is being integrated into everything.

No new consoles for the next 3-4 years... After these console sales crater, you can start looking forward to new consoles and not a day before. But Xbox and Ps3 are having their best years ever still...
Microsoft didn't abandon the original xbox, NVidia did. Nvidia stopped making the gpu that was in the original xbox, and that was a wrap... Microsoft had to rush the release of the xbox 360... Which also explains a bunch of its compromises... Like the DVD drive, and perhaps the rrod as well.
I think the WiiU will show the way this generation will transition to the next... The next xbox will be based on this same PowerPC cpu, but they will add a bunch of special purpose cores and enhance the GPU, but it will all retain backwards compat. Then the xbox 360Plus and there will be "Plus" enhanced games for a few years, then eventually, games will require a Plus once the install base is large enough...
Actually, the Xbox, PS3, wii, and now the WiiU cpu's are all made at the same IBM facility...
The only thing different about the different CPUs is the microcode that goes into the different chips.
It is one of the reasons Sony has received so much crap for their decision on the Cell, because they have this exotic chip design, and have realized no real benefit from using it.
