Enjoy the aftermath of this Christmas season... XBox is already crushing everything else
World Wide, because the USA is not the world...
But none the less, the next 7 weeks will leave the PS3 "someday we will be second place!" fanboys quivering and hiding in the corner again crying "But this is supposed to be the year that we caught up!" with all their dreams of second place crushed and destroyed...
Until next march when ...
Every year we do this...
Every year I try and point out... This generation will continue as long as you guys are still spending billions of dollars on game and consoles.
If there is a need, both companies can have their new console ready to ship within months, as they have all been integrating all their new designs since these old antique consoles launched.
Not a moment before 2015.
Microsofts weakness is that people will get on the internet and spend years badmouthing them because...
Linux users all badmouth Microsoft to no end????
Apple users all badmouth Microsoft to no end???
Google users all badmouth Microsoft to no end???
because... Well I'm not quite sure why.. But people make whole websites to try and articulate why they hate Microsoft so much... But is usually comes down to people being b...
Yes, it flopped so badly that they are releasing a PC version of it. They are opening up the SDK for it.
Another area that it flopped is that TV manufacturers are lining up to add Kinect functionality to their TV's to replace physical remote controls.
Yeah, if flopped the same way, Windows 7, the iPhone, iPad and facebook all flopped.
Oh wait, my bad it is thanksgiving, not opposite day.
pshaww then you have no clue. Ha...
I like to stick my ears in my ears and yell "la la la!" when people try to tell me things I don't like to hear as well.
+bub and agree for you!

Wow... Pride has zero to do with Microsoft or the xbox. Microsoft is as completely craven(opposite of pride) as any other company out there.
Yes, right after Thomas Edison invented the movie camera he started stealing the movies that people were making with his camera and selling them, and not sharing any of the proceeds.
So it is cool with you that Thomas Edison did that right?
Theft isn't a legel term. You are looking for the term larceny. No, software piracy is not larceny, but it still falls under the definition of "theft."
Real quick the defintion of theft refers to the word steal and we get the definition of steal as...
Steal - to take something that belongs to somebody else, illegally or without the owner's permission
So as you can see, Slashtard excuses aside, software piracy is very muc...
$10 less on launch day FTW!
Bookmark this thread. Microsoft will announce that they have sold in excess of 60 million consoles before December 25th 2011, and they will outsell the PS3 for the calender year of 2011 just like they did in 2010.
Then make sure you pm me christmas day, and post a link to this thread saying "neener neener neener! you were wrong!"
Mmmmmkay?
I will take that bet! How much money do you have? PM me so I can send you my email address so you can Paypal me.
Anyhow the research is totally legit. What is not legit is dailymail.co.uk's reporting of what the research found, or the researchers discussion of the implication of this research. I know because I read some research that showed that stock traders have this same anomaly. So the conclusion could have easily been... "Computer gamers likely future bank...
No, it is FakeChartz.com and they track whatever number it occurs to them to post on their web page and pretend that it has any meaning.
The shipped vs sold thing is something that they made up in the early days to explain why their numbers tend to be 10-30% different from what the companies announce they are selling.
Keep in mind that they have both over tracked and under tracked all three consoles by as many as 100's of thousands of units in a given yea...
Real life has small issues with it. Even though matter anti-matter annihilation is supposed to be perfect, about 1 part of matter in 30,000,000,000,000 matter anti-matter collisions fails to be annihilated.
So if real life can't get this stuff perfect, I doubt a lowly game developer can;p
No, it just means I have to wait six months until the game is discounted anyhow.
Well, let me tell you about another media production industry that refused to give consumers what they wanted. The music business.
They got pwned by not giving consumers what they wanted, and now they are a mere shadow of what they were back in the 90's. As far as I can tell, the physical media distribution business is all but dead and buried.
On top of that they lost the ability to do fundamental things like set the price of their music, or even distri...
Wrong. Disks get worn out or damaged, and are still only usable by one person at a time. That is nothing at all like a pirated game uploaded to a torrents server, and is pirate downloaded thousands of times.
Day One DLC means I will wait until the game is discounted, or has a GOTY edition.
If game publishers were serious about these claims they would discount their download editions from day one, to encourage end users to buy the non-transferable version of...
I think the sold vs shipped thing is something that fakechartz.com made up to explain why their numbers are anywhere from 10-30% different from what the companies them selves report.
Also, sales actually mean a lot this generation. AAA Games cost somewhere between 25-50 million dollars to make and sell this generation, and that means they have to sell upwards a million copies just to break even.
I imagine games with massive mocap and artist needs like UC3 an...
Microsoft doesn't give units sold/shipped numbers for games. They publish how much cash they raked in.
Investor relations don't go over well with the n4g set, so Microsoft numbers never really get spoken about.
No one seem to care about PC numbers or Nintendo anymore, so no one talks about those either.
Sure it does. That half billion dollar loss right after a year with a meager 12 million dollar profit means Sony is going to have to start gouging its customers if they want to make some money.
shikamaroooo,
Since Ubisoft has come down with the same case of corporate schizophrenia that HP seems to have... I wouldn't put a whole lot of weight in anything they say anymore.
In the last week they also said that 95% of the people using their games Pirate them...
Soooo...
My earlier prediction of the 60k megaconsoles being announced by xmas was pretty far off. They will announce 60k megaconsoles in the next week or ...
