As long as it doesn't take away from the single player I see no reason why a MP mode of sorts shouldn't be included in every single title.

I feel Demon's Souls is more worthy to put on this list than a few of the games. Whilst Minecraft is console exclusive, it isn't really an exclusive game. I would understand if it was an Xbox focused game that was made available on PC later, but Minecraft screams "PC", not "360".
Also, I think Gears of War was missing from the list. It would be quite criminal if that was the case.

God of War 2 was regarded as one of the best PS2 titles the year that was released and the PS2 had a HUGE library of games. Just because a game was released this year doesn't mean to say it cant be "up there".
I guarantee this site will be making claims that TLOU is one of the best games of the generation when it's released too (and it probably will be knowing ND).

Piracy is totally different to pre owned games. Stupid comparison is stupid. A gamer could buy a game and support the dev at least through DLC. By purchasing a pre owned game you are supporting a business that sells games (which has it's benefits to a dev). Piracy IS wrong in my opinion.

A lot of demo's don't represent the final product. Killzone and Motorstorm are good examples, but I'm not sure on when they came out and they said they where target renders. I'm trying to think of more specific examples, but I'm drawing a blank. I remember when WoW advertised new dance moves or something with WOTLK and never delivered them. Your friends are excited for a game series they like. Same thing happens with a lot of games and people love to express their excitement. Well, I think GTA4 was the weakest in the series, but it was still a good game. I would score it around the mid 8 region. Red Dead Redemption on the other hand was fantastic and gives me hope it can translate well to GTA. I do think R* are still capable of giving me a great GTA experience. I see your point, though. If you didn't like GTA4 then why would you be excited for GTA5? The same happened with me when Killzone 2 was coming out, but I was proved wrong.
Will we see Counter Strike here in Europe? Nahhhhh, of course we won't! Damn good thing that Hitman is coming to PS+ for us, though.
I would like to see some of his ambitions flourish and next gen could be a great place to start. Maybe he could set more realistic goals and not over hype his own work to the extent he does. I admire the way this guy thinks, but his thought process doesn't translate well in to the actual games.

I agree completely with your in depth statement. It all boils down to what console you own, but gaming overall is great this year so far.
The Vita and WiiU are doing horrible, The Xbox is lacking compelling exclusives, but is healthy and the PS3 is STILL getting stronger. It is constantly improving. The instant game collection has owned so much this year. Hitman soon :D
