are you a socom player?

because a lot of the people who constantly played MAG were socom players and they didnt find the game to look like crap, play like crap, and be crap, they found it to be tatical just like socom

edit - im not saying that everyone who plays socom plays mag, what im saying is that a lot of the people who are progressing in MAG have socom experience, and exactly which socom forums are you talking about - id like to see which socom forums are talki...

thats exactly what this game is and exactly who its marketed towards

mag is a very bare bones game, a lot of the people playing it have experience playing games like socom, counterstrike, and battlefield, its not aimed towards the mass market

zipper games are always designed around tatics, not accessibility

How do you know theres no heavy processing going on in MAG?

"This is not a matter of cheap distant facades out of the play area, but is instead all part of the active modelled world in which you play," - http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...

sounds like they elected not to go with the microsoft method

"simulation results" as in not an actual game? or even any actual gameplay?

is this even running on a 360? because zippers talking consoles, planetside for PC came out years ago

not sure either, but i dont own a 360

i think i remember one of my buddies telling me about how 1 dollar used to be 100 MS points but then it became 80 MS points

and it could have possibly still sold 6 million on 360 even if it werent exclusive

im not a gears fan, but i think that this is the one 360 exclusive that could sell well on both systems, even moreso than halo

i think pachter is speaking in terms of profit, not whether or not it sold well

pretty sure their network code is designed specifically for both their patented servers and the Cell processor

i doubt there are many companies out there that are ambitious enough to develop and achieve that

if you have the tv, the glasses, and the ps3 then youre all set, all thats needed is for the ps3 to receive the necessary firmware update

but youre tv has to be able to accept 120hz source and actually display all 120 fps, or just have a recently released 3d capable tv like those by samsung, mitsubishi, and a few others

a lot of tvs that came out a few years ago were 120hz but they couldnt accept all 120hz from a source, they maxed out at 60hz and just duplicated fra...

dont forget the voice recognition

5890d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

thats what all these new shutter based 3d tvs coming out are, theyre tvs that refresh at 120fps but more importantly can accept a 120hz(fps) source and actually display all 120hz(fps) at 120fps, its most likely that youll need some kind of high speed hdmi 1.3 cable though

where are the people who said sony was bluffing with its 120fps claim?

it seems like every month more people eat crow

5890d ago 13 agree2 disagreeView comment

it is mostly hype, at least the amount of coverage that its receiving

luckily for us consumers, its not being forced on us, and even if we do decide to buy it, we're still not forced to use it

bring on whatever super secret 3d + motion control + voice recognition game youre working on sony cause ill be ready for it

thats gotta be the ps3 version on the bottom

some companies still havent learned their lessons with the unreal engine on it

that foliage in the first shot on the ps3 version just gave me eye cancer

i just see a first person camera moving up, down, left, right, and forward

ive already seen that with the burnout paradise demo, i saw more action in that demo than in this video

a first person shooter is exactly what they dont need IMO

i dont know how many people would agree with me using this phrase but i already consider killzone 2 to be sony's flagship first person shooter

on top of that you have resistence which i dont think insomniac should continue to pursue but it would seem reasonable if they did a 3rd, it just seems to me like resistance 1 was a good game but didnt make a huge splash because of position that the ps3 was in at the ti...

alan wake?

how exactly can you tell it looks better? anytime he goes near an object it fades to blacks preventing you from seeing any detail, which is why it seems like 1/3 of the screen is blacked out while he's walking at night
