Can someone help me out here. WTF is the difference between HDMI cable and adapter. I could have sworn that all devices that have HDMI output, dont need a HDMI adapter, only the cable, so if the xbox 360 has hdmi, which it will now, it needs the adapter and the cable. Cause if thats the case, screw that, ill just get the hdmi for PS3, stay with the component for 360 and watever wii comes with, then thats what im staying at. I fricken work at Best Buy and we have the Blu-Ray and HD DVD players up for showing and for sale and when someone buys one, they do not get a HDMI cable. They do not include a HDMI set, cause some HDTV dont have HDMI, and some people who have HDTVS, may not want to spend 100 bucks on a HDMI cable, and neither will the manufactureers waste...

I dont have a 1080p tv, and u dont either. But my LCD HDTV still has HDMI, and whats the point of having it if ur not going to use it. and plus, it does video and audio, not like the AV plugf that has red, white, and yellow. HDMI is just one cable and one insert, with HD video and audio. Its Sweet

I work for Best Buy, and so far ive had no one come up to me and ask for an HDMI adapter. Plus if someone where to ask me for an HDMI adapter, Id give them a HDMI cable, cause a. there is no need for more than 1 or 2 HDMI inputs on a tv, and b. the adapter is already in the machine you bought (PS3 - HDMI adapter is in the machine, HD DVD and Blu-Ray Players - HDMI adapter is already in the machine. I maybe wrong here, but what if people (about oh say 80-85% in the world) who dont have a HDTV and dont have HDMI input, and they want to get a PS3, whats the point of including a HDMI cable if it is useless. Like, i think it is a good decision for Sony to just include the standard AV cable so that anyone with HDTV or Standard tv can use it, until they get HDTV or get an HDMI cable and etc. but im sorry Original seed/RealDeal, you dont know wtf you are talking about. It just happend to me last week, and i had to send mine to Toronto and wont be getting it back for another week, but keep your head up, cause 130 bucks, and its good as new.
