It’s unreal engine. First of all, PC has always been its primary development target. They may be using the SSD now to help with polygonal streaming but the engine doesn’t release until 2021. Anyone who thinks better SSDs won’t be available by then are smoking something.
Second, the engine is also to be available on the series X.
