Hiding in grass isn’t a stealth game. It’s very shallow compared to the original splinter cells. Using shadows, pipes, holes, walls, tricks and traps wyc. If you got spotted you likely got killed. Modern stealth doesn’t hold a candle to it.

Many other reviewers are saying wait for it to be on sale. The daughters are painfully boring and the level design is very average. It’s also becoming more sanitized in the executions and brutality.

Or...the constant attempt to make mods paid? Lacklustre half assed patches? Refusal to get a new engine? They constantly lie about their products? ES Blades being a complete rip off?
Skyrim was casual, stupid easy and boring. The quests had 0 depth and it had even more RPG elements removed than Oblivion did. Same with FO4. They don’t make RPGs like they used to. They’re extremely watered down for the masses.

I agree with Quake being the top of the game when it comes to FPS but Apex does require a lot of skill to get good at. It has a lot of mechanics to master and the gun play has learnable recoil patterns, knowing what distance to engage etc.
