The people complaining seem to have never played the originals. When people talk about DOOM it’s either the 90s games or the reboot. DOOM 3 is barely ever mentioned.
Because it wasn’t a DOOM game lol. The only thing it shared were some demons and setting. Everything else was a radical change.
No thanks. DOOM 3 didn’t feel like a DOOM game. It was far too slow. The story slowed it down to a crawl, there weren’t a lot of enemies, the NEED for the flashlight didn’t raise tension it was just annoying, it was incredibly confined.
DOOM is supposed to be about fast paced visceral combat, getting through it to get the best time and the optional secret hunting enveloped in a horrifying theme. That’s what the originals were and that’s what the reboots are.

I was averaging 80-120 fps with a gtx 1080 at 1440p. The first doom usually hovers around 120. But this was max settings.
Eternal doesn’t look realistic to begin with so why is that a criticism?
