I'm enjoying what I've played so far. But it's just an average game. The story is okay, the world is interesting, the Characters are okay, the gameplay is okay but sometimes tedious. But nothing about it is amazing or exciting to me. HZD and BotW did open world games much better this gen.
The game has bugged out on me twice so far. Once I couldnt get back on my bike after saving a survivor from a horde. And another time where I was riding on my bike to an objective and the game rubberband me all the way back to my previous starting point. It is pretty fun and the story is just interesting enough to want to keep going. But all in all, it's just an average game. A great looking game, but nothing that makes it feel truly special. 7.5/10
@Cris
I guess I misread Atlus' recent moves on switch. Oh well, it'll happen when it happens.
@outsider
Story according to most reviews, is fine. The gameplay is where this game is lacking. I might just put this game off and play MK11 instead.
Launch games or not, you're still wrong. No matter how defensive you are about it.
The term "waste of money" is completely subjective. I enjoyed past Crackdown games so I decided to give it a shot. Days Gone looks interesting, and I'm willing to give it the same fair shake I gave to Crackdown 3.
Look at all the reviews and decide for yourself if it's worth taking a chance on. If you're interested in it, I'd say give it a go. If you're hesitant, than maybe wait for a price drop.
3 and 6s are bad reviews, 7.5 is average. In a world where Sony exclusives have been knocking it out of the park recently. It's a disappointment.
Regards of how many times people use the same games as an example. You're claim is false and you're being called out for it.
You've completely missed the point I was making. Crackdown 3 had bad reviews, but I decided to give it a shot. Similar to the shot I'm giving Days Gone, even with all the bad reviews coming out. I'm not comparing the games themselves, just the situation I'm finding myself in.
Where have u been my friend? Sony has had a handful of bombs this gen. Knack and Knack 2 are just some that come to mind. Even though I did enjoy them for what they were, they bombed hard.
Such a disappointment that they couldnt iron out the technical issues. Oh well, cancelled my pre-order of the collectors edition and just went with the standard edition. Like Crackdown 3, I'll give it a shot and see if I like it.
It's either Persona 5 for Switch or a Steam Edition. Or maybe both, at this point it's almost a guarantee to be one of those.
@Quetz
No need to get uppity. I didnt mean it was "mobile game" quality. I meant it in the sense of being a portable version of the full game. But sorry if you were offended in my use of the word mobile.
Using the phrase "best place to play" is completely unnecessary. It's all about preference. Are you more excited to play a mobile version of MK11 with lower graphical fidelity? Or are you excited to see the amazingly detail character models, stages and high framerates gameplay on a 4k tv? Which ever version you pickup, you are gonna be a ble to play it the way you want. So what does it matter?
They can go to the past and do a Sully, Sam or Chole prequel. Or go future and have Nate and Elena's daughter be the protagonist. I'm on board for more Uncharted in the future. One of my favorite franchises of all time.
It's not just first party exclusives. You have Capcom, Bethesda, From Software, Sega, Atlus, Squre Enix, just to name a few. Alot of third party developers still see the value in making an amazing single player experience.
Not a good look for Sony and the Playstation brand for sure. The ESRB ratings are more than enough for consumer awareness. At that point it's up to the parents to make informed decisions about what to buy their kids.
Whoops, definitely meant to post this on a different article. Lol
On more than one occasion while I'm hiding in a bush right next to some freakers. Deacon thinks it's a good time to yell at someone on the radio. It's a small nitpicky thing, but it breaks the immersion when it happens. The game isnt horrible, it just lacks polish.
