As long as it doesnt affect the quality of the single player, I dont see the problem. Case in point, TLOU and Uncharted.
“I like the design of what they did,” he said. “I have a lot of respect for what the teams do at PlayStation." -Phil Spencer
He acknowledges his repect for Sony's design choices and states that he likes it.

Im done with this gen, I never whined about leaving my PS4 behind. The last release i was waiting for was Ghost. But more power to anyone excited for whatever PS4 games are coming out.
With Ghost of Tsushima already released, Sony should really focus all efforts on the PS5. This State of Play was unnecessary, almost everyone's mind is already on the next generation. People want a release date, price point and confirmed launch titles.
Once again SE's greed wins out. Already bought and beat the original. Im good.
Ghost may not reach GOW levels of epicness for me, but it is still worthy of praise. Its a fun, fleshed out, gorgeous game. That definitely deserves to sit among other Sony greats. Can't wait for a PS5 sequel to see where Sucker Punch takes Jin's story next.
He must hate fun and challenge. Lol. In all seriousness, this game was amazing. It was almost everything i wanted it to be. Sucker Punch created one of the most vibrant and atmospheric open worlds ive played in a long time. And the combat is engaging, the stealth is a bit too easy imo. But overall its just plain fun to play.
Just beat the campaign and loved every second of it. Its not perfect, but man it is fun as hell. Hopefully it continues to sell well cause I want a sequel on PS5. Sucker Punch is Gold. I love Sly, inFamous and now Ghosts of Tsushima.
You can only do open world games for so long before they all share similarities. Just because it uses the same/similar open world designs and tropes doesnt take away from the game's greatness. Ghost of Tsushima is one of the most fully realized and gorgeous open world games ive played in a long time. Definitely worthy of a GOTY nomination. And continues Sony's tradition of releasing amazing all the way through their consoles life cycle. Hopefully it gets great sales cause it, as well ...
I hate that people minimize TLOU2s narrative as just ND pandering to SJWs. The gameplay, story, characters, and world all combine to make one of the most engaging games of this generation, imo. Well deserved. Cant wait to see where ND goes for the next generation.
@yppupdam
Yes you're entitled, if you believe game prices should never change. The reality of inflation is prices will increase. Goods and services will go up as the costs of making and marketing go up. Do I like it? Of course not, i never said I did. When did i say if youre not a "real gamer" if you dont buy games day one? Or that Developers are entitled to your money? My comment stated that if you dont support the idea of increased prices on games, then vote with your...
They have yet to show their full hand. Who's to say they dont have some new exciting ip(s) in the works. Lets not count MS out yet. I know some of us like to choose sides. But at the end of the day more great games for everyone is always a good thing. No matter what platform you game on.
Gamers are such an entitled bunch. At the end of the day, if game prices increase and you dont agree vote with your wallets. Or do what alot of people do, myself included, and wait for price drops. I will be more selective with my day one purchases next gen which im completely fine with.
Its sad when some people don't have the mental or emotional maturity to separate a fictional piece of work from real life. Just accept that ND made a game that either you love or hate and move on. Death treats to the creators or actors is just pathetic.
By dampen, i mean his way of thinking. About not trying to save people. Not his skills or instincts when killing infected. His psyche may have very well been affected by the choice he made at the end of the first game. His actions did lead to the end of any chance of a cure. So he may be trying to make up for it by saving people when he can.
Understand that its been 5 years since the first game. Joel's survival above all mentality may have dampened in that time. Especially being a part of Jackson, where they look after one another. The idea of him helping someone isnt so farfetched. Especially considering the circumstances of the situation they were in at the time. I get that some people dont like the narrative, which is understandable. But character's are allowed to evolve.
Well deserved for Sony and TLOU Part II. Though I understand some people not liking the narrative choices ND made, myself included. But the more I played, the more I began to appreciate the story and characters, being completely engrossed and ultimately loving the game. Ellie and Joel will forver be two of my most favorite characters in any entertainment medium.
The story still doesnt match the feelings i had for the first game. But it is damn near close to it. I love this world and these characters. And even though it was tough to go through some of the story choices ND made, I still loved TLOU 2 from start to end. Right now, this is defintely GOTY for me, hands down. Lets see what Ghost of Tsushima has in store next month. What a way to end the PS4s run.
Though I dont agree with some of the story choices, i respect NDs decisions for the direction they took. The story, characters, gameplay and my god the graphics are all leagues above anyone else (IMO). I love this game so much. 22hrs for my first playthough, and just started new game +.
It was implied regardless of you saying it or not. Sales dont reflect quality, which i wholeheartedly agree. But in TLOU2s case it does. Its is an amazing game that got the sales it deserved. IMO.
