@Megaman:
Actually ive been playing since the original, Im just not as anal retentive as you I guess. Anyways, at 1st I was just as pissed about them changing Dante's regular look, but after a while it started not to matter to me. And to be honest, the game has been getting more interesting to me so I can look past the redesign.
Im pretty sure he was funny or at least tried to be. He always cracked cheesy one liners (until they fucked up in DMC2). They made him emo as hell too, only difference is he still looked like himself.
And that doesnt include the pretty penny M$ is making off of XBOX Live subs.
Say what you want about Ninja Theory's redesign of dante, but those guys know how to do flashy combat. Still wishing they kept the original dante design though. Game looks sweet, cant wait to get my hands on it CRAPCOM be damned.
Who cares, they already made up their minds. Its gonna get changed and to be honest the reason I havent completed Mass Effect 3 yet is because all this crap about the ending. All of it just kinda killed my excitement about getting to the end. Maybe Ill just wait for the dlc and then finish it up.
Halo was never trash, and there was never a Killzone on the PS1, maybe you're thinking about the PS2?
Sounds like a couple of interesting redesigns w/ a couple of questionable ones. Heres hoping this is the game that gets me back into Halo.
My must have list in order:
1. Borderlands 2
2. The Last of Us (if its released this year)
3. Bioshock Infinite
4. The Last Guardian (if its released this year)
5. Max Payne 3
6. Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier
7. Far Cry 3
8. Resident 6
9. Halo 4
Listen you lemming, no matter how u look at it disc locked/cut dlc for the sole purpose of making a profit is a shady business practice and shud not be excused no matter what the circumstance. And as much as i am looking forward to re6 later this year, if capcom pulls some "vs mode re5" bullsh!t I ain't givin' them any of my money.
F@ck Crapcom and their shady business morals.
Im going to pull a Jaffe and say I could care less about next gen. There are way too many good games in this current gen to worry about something that isnt going to matter for the next 4-5 years. But in any case if this is the model for next gen its gonna b one hell of a fight for sony/ms. Cause no matter how much you try and fight it, the used game market is here to stay.
The DOA series has always been nice to look at, but I just can't get into it. The fighting system never felt good to play. Doesn't look like there's anything in this entry to make me consider giving it another shot.
I think most gamers that played it and game critics would disagree with you on that. I mean, aside from the exploitation by capcom of its customers(disc-locked dlc characters), I've been hearing nothing but good things about the game itself.
Im about 1-2 hrs in and I will be waiting for these weapons to come out until i start playing again. This game needs the added variety to keep me going till the end.
I see what your saying and youre entitled to having that opinion. But the fact that the GOW series uses QTE doesnt make it less intuitive/challenging than the Ninja Gaiden series. The 1st GOW game reinvented peoples notions of what an action game could be by incorporating QTE's in such an intuitive way. And the same can be said about the difficulty level of Ninja Gaiden on the original XBOX, not for a long time before that was a game so unmercifully hard.
See what you dont understand is that the QTE mechanics in God of War add to the experience. The problem with adding it to a Ninja Gaiden game, which is evident here, is that it adds nothing and in some ways takes away from the overall experience.
I hate to say it cause Im such a fan of the series but after some playtime last night, I can easily say that I am disappointed. Though the action is more frenetic and fast paced, I just cant get into some of the new mechanics. Itagaki needs to come back and show "this" Team Ninja how its done.
Even though alot of the negative reviews are leaving me somewhat skeptical about it being better than the last games. I am still looking forward to giving this game a try when I pick up my copy later on today.
Touche haha. I shud have put "relive the older games"
SO basically if you double dip and get both the ps3 and PSV versions you'll get Disc-locked content for free? haha Lame, FUCK CRAPCOM.
