You sir fail horribly. The fact that you are writing an article dissuading people from buying a game you, yourself haven't played is idiotic. Play the game at least and then give advise on it's value to the consumer.
An extra dual shock 4 and a dual charging station were the only accessories I have. I also have the vertical stand backordered so there's that. I'll probably get a PS4 Camera later on down the line when they add more must have features to it.
Knack surprised the hell out of me after playing it through. So I say if you enjoy Ryse, to hell with what reviews say and be happy. Game on everyone, next gen is here and everything looking forward is gonna be awesome.
Yes I understand that but again as I stated level of enjoyment = how much you like that specific type of genre of game. Knack wasn't perfect and I don't claim that it is but I do enjoy this particular type of game which is why I do not mind the repetition. Which is the point I am trying to make.
I'm loving this game so far. One of the best reasons to own a vita by far. Media Molecule doesn't disappoint, 10/10.
Lets be honest a lot of games are about repetition. In shooters you shoot things, in platformers you jump over/on things, in hack n' slashers you hack and slash things. The determining factor in your level of enjoyment is really how much you actually like playing those certain types of games.
@Dread
Your preference in games is just that, yours. Just because you didn't enjoy it so much doesn't mean someone else shouldn't enjoy it. I would rate this game an 8/10 because though it was a lot of fun to play and it was challenging, there is still room for improvement. I sincerely hope that it does well enough to warrant a sequel so they address some of the issues the game had, all of which involve lack of variety.
In all honesty a slight downgrade is not a big deal, as long as the core gameplay mechanics are still intact and fun then that is all that really matters. Just like when everyone was jumping on Killzone Shadowfall for allegedly having downgraded graphics, I did not notice it at all while playing nor does it affect how much fun I have playing the game.
To all the Xbox One owners that were looking forward to this game I say give it a shot. I could have just as easily listened to reviewers and cancelled my pre-order for Knack but I decided to take a chance on it and I'm glad I did. Who knows you might actually enjoy it.
Wow that extra level of detail is surprising from just 900p to 1080p native. Thank God for Ubisoft optimizing and taking full advantage of the tools they have.
I understand the criticisms of the game but some of these reviews just seem like a witch hunt. Sure it could use some variety but at the end of the day it's a fun game with some challenging combat, charming visuals and pretty simple mechanics. To each their own though I'm more than half way through the game and I am enjoying myself so far.
Score on site is 7/10, needs to be revised.
Haha I know the feeling man, it's been a long wait but once you get it in your hands you'll realize it was worth the wait. Hang in there :)
It's everything I hoped it would be personally and that is all that matters to me. Almost 3 days in with my next gen system and I'm loving every second of it.
Hahaha thats interesting cause the problem I have is the exact opposite, I have too many games to play at launch. I have 6 retail games for my PS4 along with 5 games from the PSN.
Destiny looks like it's gonna be a must have title. Can't wait to get a group going with my friends and quest to our hearts content.
@main
I love the feel of the combat and charming look of the game. I personally enjoy and own games like Ratchet an Clank, Sly Cooper, and especially God of War. And Knack felt like a combination of those game elements . So yes I enjoyed playing the game and am looking forward to popping it in my brand new PS4 in 5 more hours. But if you or anyone dont find the game enertaining or interesting then by all means enjoy whatever games you enjoy, just dont question or doubt my anticipation...
I played the demo at gamestop just 3 days ago and I loved it.
Different reviewers = Different scores. I don't totally agree that there is any type of conspiracy for the recent PS4 reviews, but why not leave any bias you have out the door when reviewing games like a professional should. If you have a predisposition about the game/franchise going into the review then, that of course will impact the review in question. But then again it's pretty hard to be completely objective so what is the point. I say, if you enjoy the game franchise/genre then ...
Do you have one? With games like Killzone Mercenary, Dragons Crown, Soul Sacrifice, Velocity Ultra, Guacamelee, Muramasa: Rebirth, Tearaway and Ys: Memories of Celceta just to name a few to come out this year alone I think it's safe to say that the Vita has some pretty great games.
