"I certainly found Dark Souls II hard which made it far less enjoyable and it’s absolutely no fun to be continually stuck in the same place for hours on end. It would have been great to have a difficulty option, despite it being against the whole Dark Souls culture."
What a humongous asshole, saying all we need to make the game better is butcher everything that makes Dark Souls 2 a Souls game. Jesus, some people just don't get Souls games. They even put fast tr...
I want a petition to fix the Frame Rate on Ps3 and Frame Tear on Xbox 360! Don't people care about that?
I love console wars lol. Let's be serious for a second, we love this kind of stuff, we love to argue! It's an honest human reaction!
...and i'm still waiting for amazon to ship my copy of Dark Souls 2 CE even though i pre-ordered it 25 september 2013...
They aren't prude, the government just banned the games until recently, the R18+ is fairly recent. At least now they get the games (later and more expensive nonetheless).
As long as Australians can play it and it isn't outright banned, that's a good thing. Australian players need a break, maybe using that R18+ classification will (in due time) bring a calm to the ban hammer.
I'm just hoping for a fps-stability update. The pc will have better graphics for sure.
Everyone knows i'm a huge fan of the Souls games, but, even i have to say that this is one stupid article. A RPG vs a FPS, is this for real? What's next, the XbOne vs a blender?
I'm throwing money at the monitor but it isn't working... i need this NOW!
"It's the fastest growing segment in gaming." - Do you remenber the success that was the Wii? Look at the WiiU now, it's not about my love or hate for mobile games, it's about it being a bloated market full of shovelware turned to people that at any moment can quit being gamers. It will grow a bit longer then it will fall under it's own weight, just like a small "gaming crash of '83". It's not a sustainable business model even though it looks like i...
Mobile gaming is plagued with awfull repetitive shovelware filled with micro-transactions, soon all the casual players and soccer moms will get bored of them and everyone will get over this fad.
Anyway, this is just my opinion.
Both console gaming and pc gaming are fine, they just need some pruning. Let's get rid of MicroTransactions, early access, yearly installments of the same franchise, monopoly on licenses and ovr-hyping of games and it will all be fine!
Mobile gaming will fall on it's own weight soon, please, let's not allow gaming to follow the same path.

This is what happens when a niche-exclusive game tries to be multiplat and appeal to other people. People just don't understand what the Souls series is even about.Let me break it down to you all:
Aliens colonial marines->Developers lied about everything, the gameplay in the trailer wasn't even in the final product, the graphics were horrible (even on Pc)and the a.i. was shit, therefore aliens colonial marines =/= Dark Souls 2.
Ubisoft's games-&g...
The game looks great for a game running in 8 year old hardware. So, yeah, i agree with everything you said.
Everyone was happy with Dark Souls 2 and then after this they make a fuss about the game not looking as good? It's 8 year old hardware everyone! What were all of you expecting, 1080p at 60fps? Specially with the new graphical engine, light effects and havok clothing. Let's be real.
You're so lucky you've got the game already!
My game should arrive around the 17th if you have a ps3 and want to coop my psn:Hugodastrevas.
Praise the sun, umbassa.
All other games accomplishments shrivel in the presence of Dark Souls 2, that much is true!
Why do you make me laugh so much at work? Now everyone's looking at me and i am obliged by law to give you a bubble up!
P.S. Long live Dark Souls 2
No, it 'would' not have made the game better in any way. Do you know what a niche title is? If people don't enjoy Dark Souls or Dark Souls 2 for what it is there are lots of other games they can enjoy.
P.S. Giving a game a 5/10(average game) because you want it to betray it's own roots is not a professional move.
