did you say hundreds of thousands? the 360 outsold the ps3 in america by some 30,000 last week. so where are u getting this hundred of thousands from?
and if u mean the HOLIDAYS, then i could say the ps3 outsold the 360 by more then 120,000 a week in EUROPE but anyway, im done burning u.

against most of the time, the ps3 was 599.99 and the lowest being 399.99 but that was LATE in the year.
how in the world is the 360 gonna survive with NEW ips this year when the ps3 is gonna be 299.99 and has all these fps' for america and then has final fantasy and mgs4 for the world.
i just dont see how the 360 can do good this christmas against the ps3. argue all you want but NEW ips dont do as good as proven franchises.

at 299.99. that sku should be the 120 gig with full BC and ds3 should come standard and advertise bluray and every single big released game non stop. sony would do great at 299.99, they would be selling as a bluray player and a game machine.
and when warner completely drops hddvd and everything is officially blu(just about) and mgs4 is about to hit, sony is going to be on a ball.
and second. i expect sony to show alot of jaw dropping games at gdc and then when the hype train is rolling, thier gonna bring out the 120 gig and place it at maybe 449.99 and the 40 gig to 349.99.
they'll probably end up saving thier next price cut for mgs4
but i think if sony REALLY wants to get the ps2 owners that are still lingering around, they shoud drop it to 299.99 and keep the 120 gig at 459.99 with full BC and that will have a spike followed by a steady...
that cover system in killzone 2 just makes it leaps and bounds above most fps's to me. and i love the animations and atmosphere.
but then again, i havent seen resistance 2 in motion yet so maybe i could be wrong.
with killzone 1, guirella was a SERPERATE studio and they werent brought by sony yet. with sony backing this game up all the way and other studios helping, it would be a shame if this game didnt blow everyone away.
and then think, look at the position sony was in b4..........they could easily allow guirella to release a mediocore game and not care but now they have something to prove and thats with KILLZONE 2.

HYPE sells games not the quality of it. thats really a bummer because some of these low key games that are great just dont get the same hype and they end up not selling well.
