comment but the truth. please explain to me what looks so good about gears 2? because i really don't see an improvement over the first one besides the lighting being alittle bit better.

it's not even comparable. gears 2 looks the same exact as gears 1. it should be getting compared to uncharted or something.
only reason this is getting compared to killzone 2 graphically is because gears 1 shocked the world with its amazing visuals and fanboys want to relive that feeling of it being that but TIMES HAVE CHANGED and its no longer the best looking game.....not even really close........ok well maybe it close but its not comparable to killzone 2 in the least.

just answer me this. how can microsoft keep exclusives when third parties want to go multiplatform? what are they going to do with 3 or 4 internal studios of which only one is good?

early 09 belongs to killzone 2 and final fantasy, and tekken(if it doesnt come this year)
then late 09 is socom, uncharted 2, god of war 3, twisted metal, etc......... going to be another HUGE year.
thank god sony has these amazing in house studios. i would hate to think what i company would be like with only third parties considering once those 3rd parties make multiplats, that company will no longer have exclusives for its system.........

but its usually the american gaming devs that keep releasing fps's because thats where there money is at and we all know how much people love there money.
its always blood, gore, shoot, rinse and repeat. another reason why i like japenese games over american games.

the first one had horrible framerate inconsistencies. generic shooting. and the controls werent solid at all.
all of that seems to be improved with the cover system serperating it from the pack. with the controls being stated as solid from many previews. and the game running smooth.
but unfortunetely that's not all killzone 2 can do(improve on what made the first game bad)

personally i dont really care. the cover system is enought to differenciate it from other shooters for me.
but i'm sure reviewers will beat down the game just like they did cod4 and halo 3 for not being innovative/sarcasm.
