Who's to say this isn't another "ghost"? Yotei in 1600s is Ainu's territories, if I have to guess the MC is an Ainu woman who forsakes her tribe's way of life and embracing Japan's way of fighting to get revenge or something. Or vice versa.

What are you smoking, I’m all in if you want to criticize this year’s lack of first party but in total there are so many games for PS5, I haven’t even touched this year’s Yakuza and FF7 Rebirth because I haven’t got that much free time.

My 2 cents as a businessman, if you have a successful product first you try to innovate and put the previously popular product (Sakai Jin) on the back shelf either as an insurance should the innovation fail or to use it later for bigger impact (like that movie with 3 spiderman).

I say moving on with another ghost to try build an anthology makes sense, if it's a success you have a new mega IP on your hands, easily expandable to various Ghosts even outside Japan setting. ...

Dude’s getting the sweat because star wars outlaws underperformed, and that’s with far smaller controversy compared to AC shadows.

Unlikely unless Jin traveled all the way to Hokkaido literally crossing the whole japan..

Their press preview code for Shadow just got delayed, and their TGS online show was cancelled.

And the kicker is Yotei is set on Hokkaido island, which is on the year 1600s isn’t part of japan yet. If the story is about Ainu tribe looks like AC just got “inclusivity in japan” rival in the worst possible match-up for them.

Ainu tribe protagonist? Hokkaido didn’t officially become a part of japan until the 1800s. Is the “ghost” part about her forsaking her Ainu tradition and embracing invader japanese way of fighting?

I always said that if AC want to explore inclusivity in japan they’d be better off with Ainu themed setting, looks like I got my wish with the best possible developer for it.

As much as I’d like that, Rise of Ronin has explored that time period so good chance Suckerpunch might opt for another setting.

It was downturn anyway since they bought Halo and Gears from Bungie and epic.

With the rate rockstar has been releasing games it'll come out maybe near the end of PS6 lifecycle so not interested.. yet.

With the rate money is coming they’ll never do a full release, because that means they have to justify their product’s quality. This way even if the product’s an abomination they just have to say “it’s still a work in progress”.

The only way to get them to release it is for whoever’s stupid enough to still give them money to stop.

Does it consist of games too?

Should've used the resource to optimize for toaster instead, probably more would buy it on toaster than XB anyway.

Technically Nintendo has more Square Enix exclusives than Sony..

Yeah sure buddy.. at least until the online mode blows up with profit and there goes any plan for story-mode expansion.

this will be the first modern persona not made by the usual trio director, composer, art director because they're busy making metaphor, excited to see if their successors can handle the IP.
