I’ve rolled my eyes a few times. The China callout at the beginning was one. “I’ve never been to China but I hear it’s perfect. Indeed, everything is perfect.” I laughed out loud and said wtf.
My Russian friends are no story tellers from what I have seen lol. Long drawn out cutscenes. Some good lines but mostly throw away. Amazing character and environment design though. The visual design really carrys this game imo. So far at least.

I’m not sure why it’s a big deal though. I guess It’s just weird seeing a female physique like that in video games where devs usually go out of their way “unbeautify” characters. You can sexualize robots and monsters and it’s no big deal. It’s kinda weird honestly.

Any attempt to recreate the days of bioshock gets a buy from me. If they come up short that’s okay, most games come up short compared to bioshock.
I agree. I’ll never forget grinding the zombies in the parking tunnels to get the mega buster weapon. Its uniqueness will always stand out to me and is high up on my all-times.
I should give it another try on the newer Xbox controllers. I remember jumping over to the Xbox controller was a big peeve for me. I loved the 360 controller and dead rising was one of my very first games on it. The Xbox one controller felt cheaply and loose and it bugged me. I don’t feel that way with the series x one.

Dead rising 1 was one of my favorite games back in the day. I never got into the others like I did DR1. DR2 was ok but 3 and 4 were kinda lame.
That demoralizing feeling is just the reality of where you work finally setting in.

Yeah that’s definitely what I was feeling. I just buy too many games and have too little time to play them as it is. I generally don’t force myself to play something I’m not feeling. I will give forbidden west another shot someday. A fair shake after the slow bits.
I’ve been sold on this even I bought the first two horizon games and couldn’t finish them. I doubt I got even halfway through either of them, just not my style I guess. I’m hoping VR will change my view of the series.
