The game is great. Just because you do not want to put in the time does not mean the game is not fun.
Its a sim racer so it takes time and once you get into it, its fantastic.
To each their own but give the game a chance.

If MS is making a profit on each unit sold, then the 500 million they spent on Advertising over a period of time will be accounted for in far less time it took for the Xbox360 to break even.
Besides the casual consumers buying Kinect, the hardcore moding, hacking community are also buying it.
Some of the hacks for Kinect are quite amazing and these are just from open source drivers and no access to development kits.
Lets hope game developers take a note fro...

I mentioned the areas that are LACKING IN GT5 that have been UNIVERSALLY acknowledge by most sites that have reviewed the game. Hence some of the scores it's getting. These are areas SOME people want to ignore and are crying as to why GT5 is not scoring 110%.

1) Sub-HD resolutions in 3D mode?
2) 30FPS or less in 3D Mode?

This also applies to Xbox360 fanboys.
When a game that hits the Xbox360 scores poorly or average, they post:
"It's going to sell more than any PS3 game!!!"
Now you are seeing the same exact thing happen with GT5.
It is scoring well below what everyone expected and NOW the fanboys for Sony are mimicking what the MS fanboys have done:
"It's going to sell more than any other Xbox360 game."
It is a conspiracy. This is N4G.COM after all.
The criticisms for this game are universal for the issues that are common. Here are the few that almost all sites list:
1) The crowds are low resolution.
2) Premium Cars look FAR better than non Premium Cars.
3) Backdrop areas are mediocre. Lot's of 2D instead areas.
4) Poor shadow effects. Reminiscent of PS2/Xbox1 visuals.
5) Repeating of...
"It isn't even their technology to begin with."
You cannot say this on N4G.COM
Reviewers get praises if they give perfect scores for popular games even is it does not deserve it.
Then they get bashed and told they know squat if they give average scores to popular games even if the score if justified.
Lesson?
Don't lesson to ANY review and use your OWN judgment.
Because no matter what they say about GT5 unless they say it's perfect, they will get bashed.
You cannot criticize GT5 in any regards even if it's just.
The irony is, REVIEWS are one persons opinion. Who cares what they think???? If YOU love the game, that's all that matters. To hell with what these people think.

The game was hyped to be PERFECT. No game is perfect.
GT5 is by far the best Sim racer out for consoles, but it's not perfect and it was hailed as being perfect before release.
Having both is the perfect balance, however if you must pick one over the other, game play most definitely.
If the game play sucks ass and the graphics are amazing, how the hell can you play the game?
It's coming. Simple reason being. It's cheaper for developers. Cut out the middle man=money saved=more profits.
