You would see none of those games. Killzone and Uncharted were direct results of Halo and Gears of War success.
Sony would not have pursued online like PSN without XBL.
Without Sony, MS would have NOT gave out warrenties for RROD and lowered prices.
If not for the Wii you would not have seen MOVE or Kinect come out. Without GT series you would not have seen Forza or Project Gotham.

Actually if the Xbox did not exist those 1st party devs would not put in the effort. Why would they when there is no competition? Why spend extra money on more game studios and manpower when you do not have to? Simple business decision.
Competition this generation has pushed both companies to lower prices and make more quality games than last generation.
This also applies if the PS did not exist. You would not see Halo, Gears, Forza or any of those games. Competition drives ...
Motion control in general is exactly the spin off.
If anyone is copying anyone its Sony and MS mimicking ideas from Atari with the Le Stick and Sega with the Activator and Nintendo with the PowerGlove, Superscope etc.
Know one knows how long Nintendo has been working on the Wii remote since Nintendo already had many motion control patents dating back to the 1980's with the NES and SNES.

GOW3 had some very inconsistent visuals. Outside of the main Boss Characters and Kratos himself, many of the other character models and some environments were very low resolution textures. Lots of repetition for death sequences. They recycled them over and over even though they looked amazing.
If Patcher tells us this, that means the next Nintendo system will most likely have a Quad core GPU setup in Crossfire or SLI on one chip and 4 gigs of memory unified with a CPU running 25 times as fast as the current Wii CPU.
