XBL TOU state that using a glitch in the game is cheating and and will result in a ban.
Just because you have the ability to cheat doesn't mean you should.
...but i still prefer the 360 controller. He was correct about having to bend your fingers more around the DS3.

The install base is what it is. Why does it matter that MS got the jump on Sony?
You might be right IF the 360 had launched at the same time as PS3. The important thing to note is that ABSOLUTELY NOTHING can be done about the timing of the 360's launch now.
MS knew they would have a great advantage over Sony if they could launch their console 1st.

Valve is a successful developer and platform distributor. They don't need Sony. When Sony came out with non-standard (read: non-pc)architecture programmers responded with "But this isn't the way we program". Sony's answer was "Well it should be."
Most developers aren't in Valve's position. You heard developers complaining all the time but they still developed for PS3 because they needed the platform. This isn't the case with Valve.
What if it's a good shooter?
psn is great and the ps3 is way more reliable than the 360 but those reasons didnt seem to matter until $299.

They never intended to lose market share to the Xbox 360 (in north america)& Wii. I do agree with the comment from the article that says they were complacent. Key word being "were" because they're definitely on the ball now.
The PS3 is a superb multi-media device and their exclusives rock. The price cut is what has improved the sales - make no mistake about it.

How can Mr.Divnich not attribute poor sales to the high price point? The proof is in the pudding. The PS3 has sold like gangbusters for the past 2 months.
The value argument was never going to persuade the masses.
That is an awesome piece of software. I've tried Play On and tVersity as well and i prefer PS3 Media Server. It doesn't take up as much resources as the 2 previously mentioned applications and I never get DLNA error messages.
Also, one of the users in PS3 Media Server's forums created a world radio add-on that is just SICK!

Will this argument ever die?
It is what it is. If you buy an xbox 360 you know you're going to have to pay to play online. If you buy a ps3 you don't have to pay. This comes down to personal preference. There really isn't that much separating the two.
Value, much like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.
The fact that the best sellers on both consoles are the same multi plats (COD & GTA)points to the same demographic. Although it's true that sales don't mean quality you can't throw the baby out with the bathwater. Sales data is still important.

I hate when people bring up the argument of wii sports in the sales=quality argument. I don't think many people bought a wii w/out getting wii sports.

Many people are saying that xbox is not a "force to be reckoned with" because it's presence and brand awareness isn't strong overseas. The US is the biggest and therefore most important market to the console makers.
Sony has lost market share to Microsoft because of the Xbox brand. That's what makes the xbox a "force to be reckoned with" - market share not global brand awareness.
