Me too. Id like to actually discuss what great games Sega can produce if the Sony fanboys hadnt completely overrun this topic with bile.

Get a new creative department. The story was uninspiring and the characters unenaging. The rest of it I loved, it just needs quality storyline to pull all of it together.

PS3 fans have been throwing loads of AAA titles at Xbox owners. However, as has been proven with Haze, the quality of these titles is not guaranteed. I think MGS4 looks great but I dont feel it is enough of a justification for me to purchase one just yet. Having said this, should these games fulfil their potential the PS3 will be home to a great gaming experience and anyone with the cash should buy one.

Up until now however I think Xbox owners have had the better time of it but...

I think Sony's role in terms of videogame history was to exemplify how important it is to market your product and give it mass appeal rather than simply focus on hardware specifics.

The author states that you can hammer through the game in 10 hours "if so inclined". Is this not the same "inclination" that leads to MGS4 being beaten in 3-5 hours? (this is not an attempt to bash MGS4 by the way!) Furthermore, although the author gave a fairly balanced opinion, if he's got the full game, why is it not a review rather than a preview? If its because its not the final code why would the studio hand it out?

This guy has to be the biggest idiot ive encountered on here. Arrogance often equals insecurity

I love the Sony fanboy support group, each spouting rubbish and patting one anothers backs. Game looks great, even better in motion. If thats the limit of the 360, the bar has been set very high.

Lower the price of its system and introduce the Newton. That way, existing Wii owners may join the Xbox party; incentivised by the systems existing catalogue of games. Then some successful Wii games will be ported over. This way Microsoft can barrage consumers with cheesy adverts showing families/friends prancing round their living room play "Newton Kung Fu." Whilst adding to their market share MS can appease the hardcore crowd with RPG's plus nce footage of Gears of War 2 + Online ...

Nice to have a new game rather than one with 2, 3 or 4 after its title.

They need to reinvigorate themselves. They found a great gameplay mechanic back on the PS2 and have simply tweaked it year after year, without making any real strides forwards. Indeed, the effort regarding some aspects such as online play and the lack of extras could be branded lazy, negligent and arrogant. That being said, its still a franchise i love and i know ill buy 2009.

I issue a "please shut up" to all those who claim to have had a 360 or PS2 die on them, and have to be replaced, 4 or 5 times. Once;yes, twice; ok, three times; hmmm, four times; "insert please shut up"

Either that or you need to interrogate the household pet.

New Xbox in 2010/2011..bring it on. By that time the 360 will have a humungous catalogue of games so that anyone buying a 360 later down the line will still get a great gaming experience whether or not support is still given (although im sure it will partially)

I may be a bit naive on this topic but how does Sony prevent MS from getting Bluray? I mean, Bluray would make an absolute packet from being in the next Xbox whilst increasing the prevalence of the format hence increasing disc sales. It'd be hard for Bluray to turn down an offer from MS in light of this. That way the next Xbox could achieve its multimedia goals, upgrade its live service and it already has a Wii style interface (Newton) in the works.

Funny how everyone is bashing the 360 and its owners when no 360 people have criticised the game in this thread. Calm down, hes a PS3 owner looking to get some hits on his site. Thats it

Will the world explode? No, they'll both keep chugging along for a year or two until the next batch of consoles. I personally cannot wait for the next gen, providing they look at implementing:
Sony's Multimedia vision
360's online service
Wii's innovative controller system

All this competition is great for us

Prove me wrong? Get a grip of yourself, i didnt even mention year to year sales. No need to be so vehemont in your defence of Sony, I was hardly attacking it.

I agree that Bluray is probably the future for now, but MS shouldnt look to implement one this gen as where does that leave all the existing 360 owners, especially those who have splashed out on Elites? I'd say MS should wait until its next hardware offering and make a decision between Bluray or DLC. Although it should probably be both.

Right, lets try MS new intense 2 disc workout!! Bend down, thaats it, press the eject button, goood. Now take out the disc, keep going, and put the other one in, well done!! Phew, what an extraordinary expense of energy! High Five!! ;)

Seriously, having 2 discs is no problem at all, people need to stop being so pathetic in their desperate attempts to slag off the 360. Oh, and for the record, i have no problem either with the PS3 load times. End of the day, its the game that co...
