Exactly what Phil said in his interview. He himself did not anticipate Starfield to move consoles. Once again convinced MS is transitioning away from consoles to a sub service and publisher. Why sink money into R and D and marketing and the other caveats of trying to be relevant in the console space when you can bypass that specifically when you getting trounced in sales? The vast majority of these sales are on PC. Its very telling....
So popular it dissappeared from the sales charts after a very short time? Going to pull gamepass numbers? How about metacritic? How about Steam reviews? Hows that popularity looking now?

I've been saying this since Phils we lost the console war interview; XBOX as a console is done for and XBOX as a service/ third party publisher is where they intend to go. The acquisition of Activision is a good fit for this route. This is Phil trying to cushion the inevitable.

Agreed. These days I will opt for a steelbook rather if its a game on my must have list. Other things I buy seperately like Play Arts figures in the case of Final Fantasy. I certainly would not pay 300 plus dollars for a collectors edition

They certainly not publishing a great number of new games despite all those studios. And those released, are average at best and Redfall at worst.
I have a few friends and family who habe held out on a PS5:waiting for the slim. It appears that this and spiderman is finally shifting them to a purchase decision. They all saying the same thing they need to buy it and stashvit away before the full on Christmas period craze sets in. I advised them to buy the OG especially if theres last minute discounts as they could save on store made bundles.
Is this perhaps why it would make sense for them to keep Call of Duty multiplat past the intial ten years without tipping parity?
