Some of these Sony doomsday naysayers are eating crow. Just because XBOX is effed up doesn't mean Sony have to follow suit. Physical media sales make a considerable chunk of their revenue.
In the greater schemes of things some platforms had whole exclusive levels and characters to get consumers to buy that version. I had both the snes and megadrive and most consoles since and in certain releases of multiplatform games the version I bought was based on what was on offer. Case in point Soul Caliber IV went with the ps3 version for Vader.
Still not ok with exclusive animations, thats just petty.
Stuff like this happening since the megadrive and snes days. Mortal Kombat had different color blood (due to Nintendo insistence) and sometimes games with the exact same titles were totally different games with different levels etc. Some games had exclusive characters toed to a specific console version.
Must admit though, first time Im hearing about different animations...

I agree but stand horizontally nonetheless. I never quite got over that liquid metal settling at the bottom of the well news and dont feel like risking uncovered spots on the gpu.
There is an old addage that goes: swine do not know the value of a pearl....or something along those lines. If you used to swill you not going to enjoy dining on al la carte meals.
