I can't shake my opinion that the Forza franchise is a continuation of Project Gotham Racing a title from the Dreamcast. Played that game back then with its Kudos system and arcade like controls and a few Forza games on the 360 and Xbox one and they definitely have a similar feel. I much prefer Gran Turismo.
But it's their platform. Just so happens tens of millions of people have I phones and other Apple devices. Did Epic cover Apples R and D, marketing and upkeep of their systems? If they don't like Apples terms they don't have to publish apps on their ecosystem. It boils down to Epic wanting to maximize profits.
I believe Ps2 games stood in its way. GTA3, MGS2, FFX, Gran Turismo 3 etc. Plus you had to buy an extra piece of hardware to watch DVDs whereas Ps2 had that out of the box.

Don't have an issue with the graphics. The controls however are archaic. I much prefer the shooting perspective and system from GTA V. If this was incorporated I'm all in.
