Like I've always been saying, the proper way of ensuring game preservation is to have the original release on your shelf. Digital will never trump physical in my eyes because of these shenanigans
Just wait, the shoes are coming next E3
@everton yeah and Microsoft is Manchester United and Sony Liverpool. Score 0-5 😎
@Sully yeah I agree but do they still have the licenses for those tracks or are they going to be excluded from this version of the games?
Alas, Microsoft has taken Sega's seat in the console space albeit without ever dominating a generation. The original dreamcast used Microsoft CE and when Sega exited the OG Xbox took their mantle. Sega has also found relative success going multiplatform I doubt they would have much of an appetite to enter the console space in the foreseeable future.
Sadly that's the truth of the matter, due to licensing issues alot of the original tracks had to be scrapped. That's why physical trumps digital. You own your copy of the game in the exact shape and manner it was released. At least that holds true for Ps1 and Ps2 games.
Still not buying it.
Who cares and why are people on both sides of the fence making a big deal of this? These games are 3 plus years old. Which Playstation owner has not played them? To me I played them and am now waiting on their sequels which are not going to be on PC for years. Those of you who want to wait, good on you for those who want those games asap get yourself a Playstation console.
Unless you mod it then it becomes a fun toy to mess with. Also add a 8bit Do wireless adaptor to hook a ps4 controller. It then becomes the ultimate JRPG machine.
Could it be? Port begging by the computer overlords for the inferior console games? Lol. Just joking, but Sony will not release the big hitters day one, where is the incentive then to buy a Playstation console? Sony is not Microsoft, they leading in console sales and software sold.
I'm not waiting three to four years to play the next God of War or FF 7 Remake II
Not all hardware revisions and then only up to a certain firmware.
It's a measure to combat piracy. You would be forced to update the firmware to access the store in order to download the rest of the trilogy thereby circumventing exploit opportunities that we see on the first version of the Switch.
My sentiment exactly. Loved Reach and if the campaign matches that game I will be more than satisfied.
You know Xbox players have it bad when they cross their fingers hoping Sony does not release any of their big hitters in the hope that a Xbox game can stand a chance for GOTY @iplay1up2
Dammit clicked on this hoping for news on a Front Mission game
Give actual sales figures.
More like a matter of if....
And people say digital is the future. The only viable form of preservation is physical.
Played this in 2018.
My bro just got his Oled and gave me his OG. I'm playing Mario Odyssey and let me tell you as a primary Playstation gamer, I don't care if the Switch is underpowered I'm having a blast. I also live in country where we have electricity loadshedding and the Switch has been a life saver for me. Once I'm done with Mario I have Breath of the Wild lined up.
