The combat system was decided on based on the high sales of Final Fantasy XV. For me the decline of the series actually started with 10 that did away with certain staples such as the over world in favor of then modern aspects. I enjoyed FFXV and you had eventual control of your part after the patches. I'm just not keen to play without a party in XVI. This will be the first FF I will not be pre-ordering.
F you Activision.
Yes it does. Final Fantasy 7 Remake demonstrated its implementation and feasibility. Might as well call it Devil May Cry if there's no party battle mechanic.
For me it's primarily a console, bought a pro controller and play docked.
For a backwards approach they seem to be moving a crapload of units. I'm glad one company is keeping it old school, tired of microtransactions, costly DLC and this emerging NFT trend. Who actually wants all of that? Ever since gaming has eclipsed the movie industry in terms of revenue publishers and developers have gotten greedy. We should actually be supporting Nintendo's outlook.
And there's nothing that beats sharing a couch with three friends and playing Mario Kart wh...
Oh yes!
Well I choose to not play it and partake. Publishers and developers need a clear message from us that we don't want this.

With the current chip shortage?
3 of your points can be attributed to the effects of the pandemic and the resultant production, supply and distribution issues. Frankly, I don't have an issue with Sony acquiring Studios as thus far the developers are aligned to their traditional positioning of creating quality story driven single player titles and they are studios Sony have worked with for years prior.
That being said, I do think Ryan is not the best CEO to date and his current trajectory seems to be be more Wes...
No
Crappy. It will show in fighting games like Tekken 3. The NTSC version was considerably smoother
Now give me Xenogears so I can use rewind in the boss fight with Hammer to get that trading card or make those jumps in Babel Tower lol.
Such great memories.
Oh Microsoft.....I'm glad it went to Sony as they went on and crafted the standard for all Spider-Man games going forward. Frankly I can't think of one Microsoft studio which would be able to give the same result and I'm saying this knowing that Insomniac was not a Sony studio at the time.
@ LOGICWINS I'm really convinced you trolling for laughs, no way you this daft.
Just couldn't get into the first game. I'm going to wait for reviews on this one.
Xenogears, Breath of Fire, Metal Gear Solid.... Yes please
Back in the Era assumes they left that Era in the first place
I was referring to the Ps1 and PS2 days
Would the level design allow for this? In the instance of MGS3 Substinence most of the game was comprised of wide open spaces.
