Hey EA, anything can look beautiful..... in a screenshot.
ME, BF, even that god awful MoH Warfighter looked good in bullshot images. Put the games in motion and it's a grainy, stuttering, screen tearing mess.
And don't forget Mass Effect's texture pop in.
I'd swear in Mass Effect 1, I could literally count the frames per second when driving in the Mako.

Where does it say in the article that there is AI collision issues, or that cars bumping for position is a bad thing?
To me, it both their fault. Management at the beginning for promising a game at launch that wasn't close to being ready (marketing tactic to suck in gamers).
But as development progressed and the game is barebones with lousy online performance and still no PS+, Evo gets the blame.
Management can only allow so much latitude.
The game doesn't have..... weather, replays, detailed customizing, mechanical damage modelling, and some more I...
Seems so. But if management knows this they shouldn't release it in it's current state.
According to Wiki, the first GT on PS1 still had 140 cars. And the first Forza on Xbox had 231.
So a first party racer having only about 50 cars is pretty small.
Sure you need a connection. If you don't connect to the net, you can't play Forza with AI based on your friends driving habits.
If you don't connect, all you get is canned AI pre-loaded on the disc.
Unless Project Cars and The Crew are top notch games, I think FH2 and DC will be the best racers this fall.
Project Cars seems to get tons of hype and already predicted to be among the best racers, while The Crew is almost non-existent. I bet the quality of each falls somewhere in the middle and much closer to one another.
FH2 is open world. DC is circuit-based (tracks).
Hi,
I updated the article to be more clear about FH2's GPS Assistant. So I changed that feature to be among the Kinect 2/PS Cam Support row.
There's no point in DC even having damage modelling since it is only cosmetic. Evo Sutdios is wasting time making scrapes and dents since plowing your car into a wall makes no difference in handling.
Bumper Car Racing 2014
DC will have more cars available, but they are microtrans DLC packs.
There are Japanese cars in the game, but they will come in the form of DLC.

FH2's cosmetic damage looks better.
And don't forget that FH2 also has optional mechanical damage too. DC only has cosmetic damage.
1408x792 has more pixels than 960x1080. TF also runs at a better frame rate, didn't get a hoard of corporate funded budgets from a parent company and has about 1/4 the number of employees compared to Guerrilla games.
I figured it out. ND's next game will run at 960 x 1080.
Looks like the engine used is the one called "dark as shyt, can't see anything engine"
There were many things wrong with the show, but Joel McHale is definitely one of them.
Best dev and best game should go hand in hand. But if you look at the master list of awards winners (all of them not just ones on tv), the list is pretty spread out across lots of games and companies. Spikes way of spreading out the awards to make as many companies happy.
Agreed! I'd ballpark that some time around 2009 or 2010 the games industry suddenly changed. After maybe 3 months suddenly all these $60 games would be trashed to $30 or $40, with exception that usually Call of Duty and Bethesda RPGs seem to hold their price well.
When I first got my 360 in 2006, there is no way game prices dropped like a rock like that until 2009/2010.
