That's surprising since PS4 has about a 500,000 unit lead over Xbox One in the US.
For any charges that are reversed by the credit card company, Sony is then re-charging the gamer the same amount in order for them to re-access their account.
60 fps please. Or at least a rock solid 30 fps. Last gen console ME games can have erratic frame rates.
360's game has the best input response time. Since the PS4 game was so bad, they decided to ditch the marketing deal which Sony and Capcom had to use PS4's SF game and went with the best version, which turns out to be the 360 game.
EVO probably had a contractual deal with Capcom/Sony to use the PS4 game, but since it is so bad I foresee Capcom/Sony allowing them to break the deal and pick another system.
It would probably be worse if EVO gamers were ...
Blame for all, Capcom, Sony and Other Ocean.
What doesn't make sense is why Capcom outsourced it to Sony. And then they outsourced it to Other Ocean.
If Capcom doesn't want to make the game, why not they figure out outsourcing to a small dev themselves?
PS4's Ultra Street Fighter 4 isn't helping.
Chronojoe.
As Sony's slides state, increased ARPPU isn't from first party games.
It's coming from PS Plus retention, extra services and apps including TV, music and video, and the final bullet point was partnerships with other companies for other services.
Thanks man!
Took me a while to write all this up and find the sources to link in there!
Much appreciated.
Game was rushed.
Not only tons of bugs and graphical issues, but the fact CDP has released so many patches so quickly with so many fixes in them shows they had already been working on the big lists of fixes for a bit.
They could have delayed shipping a month and add all these fixes in time for an April release. Instead, they took the route of launching in March, and adding 2-3 patches over the past 2 weeks.... with probably more patches to come.
"billions" lol.
Assuming every copy of Silent Hill made a profit of $30 ($60 less retail markup, manufacturing costs, marketing etc......), there would need to be about 33 million copies sold for every billion MS paid to secure the franchise.
Konami would be lucky to get $50 million for the entire franchise. That would leave the purchaser need to sell a lots of copies over a few sequels to breakeven. Then it's profit after that.
So Sony moneyhats Capcom for street fighter games and it turns out the upcoming tournament is going to ditch the PS4 version and instead use the 360 game.
Wow.
It must be gut wrenchingly bad in order for them to use a competing console's game.
Avoid clicking it. Click bait.
It is an article focusing on PC hardware, yet the N4G pic shows an Xbox One making gamers think the benchmark tests are for Xbox when it was really PC tests.
Good news, but pretty obvious it is fully exclusive. MS is publishing it. Why would a game published by MS, Sony or Nintendo suddenly appear on another platform?
Marketing.
Unlocked "60 fps" sounds better than locked "30 fps"
Including the new remaster coming, that's 12 games in total. Excluding that offbeat mobile game (Betrayal), that leaves 11 games for Sony consoles and handhelds.
5 of the 11 are some kind of collection/remaster. Almost half.
Remakes listed. Excludes GoW III (2010) and GoW Ascension (2013) standalone sequels.
PS3
2009: GoW Collection (PS2 1 + 2)
2011: GoW Origins Collection (two PSP games)
2012: GoW Saga (all of the above and III)
Vita
2014: GoW Collection for Vita which is a port from PS3
PS4
2015: GoW III Remaster (one game)
MS doesn't remaster many games. And the key one they have done is Halo:...
Comparing value, you can get PS3 God of War Saga on Amazon for $18.
One remaster at a time = more revenue
Take your pick for $60:
- 5 new theatrical films. 10 hours of film. $60 (5 x $12)
- 6 Blu-ray movies. 12 hours of film. $60 (6 x $10)
- Netflix. 100s of hours of TV/film you can reasonably watch. $63 (7 months at $9/mth)
- The Order: 1886. 2 hours gameplay, 2 hours QTEs, 2 hours cut-scenes. Zero replay value. $60
Doubt it will fail.
Most gamers are online and NFS sells quite a few copies.
The new NFS game coming in the fall will be another 1 million+ seller.
