did onimusha do well in the west?
i personally only played the original and loved it. prerendered bg made it feel last gen but the character models were great. the moment i saw kaneshiro takeshi in game and actually recognised someones face was when i was amazed.
Vergil
dmc4 has already sold more than DmC so i dont think thats an issue.
The series has always been about fast action based combat and DmC was 30fps which put a lot of people off. i heard that people who played on PC loved the game so I think that capcom wanted to give it another try as well as get some money back from that game.
DMC4 seemed like an after thought. since they porting the other one, might aswell do 4, get on fans good side and add vergil.
what a crazy time we are in. we are moving towards digital releases on games(i personally prefer it) and the newer craze which is mindblowing is that we are moving to physical DLC.
"She's clever for doing so, I won't take that away from her, but we don't need her at all. She needs us, but we don't need her."
good line, but i guess thats the point. why is she getting so much hate? pretty much everyone does things in life for themselves and to probably make money. do teachers teach to help people? probably not. most teachers i know are in the field because they spent a load of money studying something they enjoyed and noticed tha...
i dont really know what she does or why the internet hates her. actually wouldnt mind someone giving me a quick summary.
anyway back to this article. these so called sexism isnt really about the gaming community. its more of an internet thing. not saying sexism doesnt exist. but the internet just blows everything out of proportion and its too easy for people to trol/joke.
with tournaments and things, i guess its mostly men, but thats because there isnt as man...
what ip's do sega have?
sonic? ok i guess
virtua fighter? havent really done anything with it
arcade games? wouldnt know, they dont exist here
shenmue? greatest game ever and probably one of the biggest flop
virtua tennis? not sure if they do those games anymore.
depends what you mean by small budget, yakuza/ryu ga gotoku sells around a million every game. so they have a decent budget that caters for a million in sales.
international games will obviously have a higher budget.
if you are talking about the graphics, then i guess it is lacking compared to what some western developers are doing. but i guess japanese devs are not too fascinated about pushing x amount of polygons/particle/other effects and able to concentr...
not that great of an article tbh.
he talks about some flaws, but what seems to be the biggest flaw is exploration. he then goes onto say that naughty dog is a great studio and if anyone can do it it would be them.
however naughty dog has never really been the studio to make fully explorable worlds. ao how can the author have faith in them to do something they never done? i like naughty dog and its linear style because it keeps players focused.
just buy it from somewhere else?
knack is a great game and for $10 you wouldabsolutely love it.
i guess online retailers are killing their games sales. aswell as games shelve life.
i think that the internet has changed the market. we are no longer interested in games that came out a month or 2 ago. the games exposure is practically gone after day1 since all the reviews have gone out by then.
loved then anime/manga.
this is perfect game for vita.
more visual novels should be on vita. its perfect for it.
i can just imagine how the board meeting went for dmc4. they must have decided to remaster DmC because of poor sales and console fans deserves to play this at 60fps. they then realised that people still hate this game and was wondering what they could do. one person mentions dmc4 and how well it sold. easy to port. why not make that?
hasnt all complete/definitive versions this gen been full price?
sort of similar to eatch dogs coming out on wiiU for full price.
its technically a new game so they can charge whatever they want. i dont see a problem with that.
depends what model you are talking about.
in the gameplay demo they use 2 different models or maybe even more. you can see one transition where it goes from gameplay to cutscene and you can see the moment drakes model switches.
there was a gif floating around that shows the differences.
its pretty good pr for a company to say no review embargo at this moment in time.
gaming trends atm is asking for transparency. this will get im peoples good books.
probably because review copies are not the final copy. developers are constantly fixing bugs at this time. it also gives companies a way to control the media or advertisements.
i mentioned above that reviews should be atleast 3-4 days before launch, but sadly we get most reviews way too late especially if we are considering preorders.
the media, or reviewers say that an embargo is ok.
the reason behind this is that it gives most reviewers a fair playing ground. bigger companies tend to get copies straight away. smaller reviewers may get it slightly later. to stop reviewers from rushing out a review of the game, they put a date and time where everyone gets to post up their review.
imo i think that it needs atleast 3-4 days before the game actually comes out. that gives plenty of time for pe...
the bigger problem was that they were overshadowed by sf2 cast. i mean sfiv had the whole sf2 roster if i remember correctly.
cant remember much of sfiv. stopped playing when super came put. gouken was my favourite but was so hard to fight against certain characters.
i maybe overthinking this but on the bonus round adam boyes had a cheeky smirk when the last guardian was mentioned.
also when talking about game reveals, he said something along the lines that games cannot be announced few years in advance like before.
i reckon the next time we hear about the game it will be released within a year.
