the problem with 4 was that they just got old people back.
V should have 16 characters. 5 or 6 old characters and then the rest should be new. would be very refreshing that way.

i was wondering more on the side of a developer outside china wanting to release a game inside china.
will that be hard?
we probably dont know how well it would do in china. My guess is that anything close to xbone is pretty amazing and the (gaming)world needs to start seeing china as a big market.
im just wondering how much hard work is it for a developer to put a game out in china.
i think jaffe is quite cool, he is known for that. probably helps a lot that he did lots of bonus round on GT so we know his character a bit more.

he could say whatever he wants. a little unprofessional and im sure his partner(?) sony wouldnt like a developer being rude to their gamers. not sure how much of it was a joke though and im sure sony knows what kind of person he is.
i do like jaffe. he is honest about what he wants. he always said that he wanted to create a game thats based on gameplay and not on cinematics like gow.

never really understood custom designs. also think that sony spent so much money designing something that looks great and people cheapen it by doing other stuff.
i feel the same way about phone cases aswell, so it could be me.
anyway. these cheap transparent plastic just doesnt look cool and i could see the ugly casing of the HDD. if i could see components of other things then maybe that would be cooler.
in terms of visuals, drive club has the advantage over project cars because it has road racing and not track racing.
it sounds stupid, but i think a night race with rain effects on a mountain road with great lighting effects would just make the game look better.
im not saying project cars wont have better looking cars, weather or lighting. its just the fact that its on a track which automatically makes it less appealing.

i know that this weather update thing was suppose to keep gamers from trading their games back like season passes and other DLC's. but wouldn't it have been better to delay driveclub until this was implemented?

i personally dont think region locks is a big deal for the china market.
people who would want to import games from other countries would have easily got hold of a ps4 already.
the point of ms and ps4 releasing in china this time round is to hit the mainstream market which is why they allowed these crazy deals which gives these chinese companies publishing rights etc...

numbers may not look gigantic but its a big brand attached to their console. sf fans who hasnt bought new console het and not willing to play on pc may decide to buy ps4 because of this.

with fighters, i personally enjoy sf/tekken/vf style movesets. so powerstone didnt really feel like a fighter to me, especially when it went 4p.

apart from the english dub, wasnt the xbox version a lot better than dc? shenmue 2 was struggling on the dc, never got to play the xb version because i like in uk.
the strange thing with dc shenmue is that the first one was in japan and everyone was speaking english and the second one was in hk/china and everyone spoke japanese.
